Yeah TaraWallCan'tThink we all know if you aren't with em you are against em in your leftie-fascist intolerant world view. I never in my life have heard such rhetorical garbage than what comes out of Obama's campaign. Apparently the entire Nation are all screaming, white- hood wearing racists according to Obama and Co. First it was Hillary supporters in such states as Kentucky and West Virginia. Now that the Democratic Nomination is within reach it is the GOP. If you want to keep it real why not look take a look at Obama's backgroud? Or his words? What if McCain called someone a "typical black person"? Or said something similar to Obama's "the greed of white people is what makes the world turn"? Black Pride is one thing but his Church of 20 years takes the prize in bigotry. Oh I'm sorry it was just a 30 sec sound-bite or he happened to not be there for that sermon. Give me a break their magazine is racist, their DVDs are racist, their guest speakers/ preachers are racist, and their ex and current pastor are racist. I truly doubt an active donating member such as Sen. Obama will be the "Uniter" he so claims to be. In fact the way he throws accusations at others and his willingness to throw others "under the bus" cause any sane person who hasn't taken a sip of the kool-aid to have grave concerns regarding his character and true intentions. Would America or I for that matter take McCain seriously if he sat in the pews of a Church that spewed such venom? No and neither should we tolerate it from Obama. There is no excuse. Your double standard when it comes to racism reveals truly that you indeed are the racist.
Mmmmm...
- Repeated mistatements regarding Obama's religion
- Obama monkey t-shirts
- False claims of a "wh*t*y" speech by Michelle
- Campaign buttons regarding the "white" house
Whoever "they" may be, they've been at it for a while. And, history would indicate that the storm is only going to get worse. Obama used a bit of humor to surface a serious issue. I commend him for playing offense without being offensive.
Aw, c'mon, Tara. your observational arguments are rather weak. I see no fear tactics coming out of Obama; rather, McCain uses them shamelessly when he talks about how we are likely to be in Iraq for 100 years, and his remarks about race are just more of the same claptrap that Republicans have posited for the last 100 years.
I totally agree with elephants&flowers and TaraWallCan'tThink on this one,
To the other 4 comments on here, it is clear that this article is 100% correct. If Obama claims to be the person who rises above race, then why would he bring it up? If the pundits can spend every hour of the day trying analyze every word of Bill Clinton and to figure out what he is really saying, then why can't we do the same for Obama? Because what Obama is really saying is, if you find that people don't vote for me, the best explanation is because I'm black.
But of course, there are many other reasons.
1. He claims he can unify this country and the dem. party, but has not shown in any way he can do this.
2. His central themes have been words matter and judgement, and we can see where he has failed on that one.
3. He also claimed that he didn't vote for the war, but he wasn't in the senate, so that didn't is really couldn't. Let alone he didn't have the benefit of US intelligence, so how can you make a clear argument if you don't know all of the facts.
4. For the amount of different answers he has given with his relationships to many people, including Wright, until finally he finds one that most people agree that they like.....I mean come on! This point is not about what the church said, or race, it's about his 15 different answers.
5. The fact that he has only a couple of years in the senate.
6. The lack of foreign affairs experience.
7. The claim that he will meet with certain world leaders right away.
There are many reasons why people don't vote for Obama. I listed several that have nothing to do with race. The fact is that Obama flip flops his answers constantly. It's not an opinion....it's a fact! There is no denying it. For a man to say elect me because I have nothing to do with old politics and Washington, yet he uses every single old politics and Washington game in the book to get elected is a pure contradiction of his entire message. His real message should be "Vote Obama! I'll throw you under the bus so I can become President!"
So again, to the four comments who are clearly part of the Obama campaign....this article is 100% correct!
Thank you Tara for finally being someone in the media that has the courage to call out the obvious double-standards and double-talk of Obama. Even as recent as yesterday when he modified the Presidential seal replacing E pluribus unum with Vero Possumus because he felt that E pluribus unum motto does not reflect the nation's diversity. Wow! Really? A sacred cornerstone symbol for this great Country and he makes a mockery of it? But really, let's just brush that off as silly and not worth so much attention either. No MORE!
Obama is an embarrassment to all Americans, and shows our dirty little secret: the racists in America are mostly the blacks!
They will vote in lock step for their guy, but whites do not do that. Plenty of white Jews would not vote for Lieberman, plenty of whites will vote for Obama. It is the blacks who keep the idea of racism before us. No whites I know will refuse to vote for Obama because of his skin color, he will fail because he a machine pol from Chicago with the strongest leftist leanings yet seen as a nominee of a major party.
So they flail, and claim that anyone who votes against their guy is a racist. They are not lying. Their own racism makes them blind to the truth. Most white people do not consider race in this decision, except those who will vote for the black guy because of race-guilt, inspired by blacks who flog this issue until they are blue in the face.
So, if the impossible happens and this lightweight gets elected after all, he will be the first affirmative action hire in the White House. No white guy with his politics and inexperience could ever get elected. What a sad state of affairs.
So what I hear you saying is that Obama called you on the carpet before you have a chance to blind side him and you're upset because you didn't have a chance to blind side him is that correct?
That's what I thought.
So basically, you're saying Obama, himself,is dividing the country and no longer sticking to his word because he says Republicans will criticize him for being black? Is that not that truth?I believe it is,and Obama was just brave enough to say it.Is he wrong to defend himself?Politics are dirty!Race is obviously going to be a huge part of this election, and Obama is not the one starting it.And how dare you assume that when Obama says "they" he's speaking of white people?Could you be any more judgmental? This article is ridiculous and very inaccurate.
If you look at the % of white people vote for Obama and % of black people vote for white candidate then it is clear that most benificary of race card is Obama him self. That is why when Republican are not playing it Obama insist it play it by saying did I mention he is black?
I agree with the comment below-and Ms. Wall, you can't be serious

Actually mikezero, we already have a lightweight affirmative action hire in the White House. His name is George W. Bush... you know, the guy who couldn't get into Ivy League schools on his own merit, but did so through a 3rd generation "legacy college admissions" program (affirmative action for rich, white folks). Obviously, Bush didn't do to well at Harvard or in the White House. Senator Obama, on the other hand, graduated magna cm laude from Harvard (WT won't let me put the right word between "magna" and "laude").
I forgot one thing, Ms. Wall have you done a editorial on FOX News or only those who you disagree with?
It is difficult to deal different cards when the whole deck consists of the same. Let's face it , proportionally the racism in the republican party is somewhere about three to one to that of the democratic party. The autor here obviously does not know what time it is.
Are we not all Americans? Did anyone see the picture of Obama not saluting the flag? How can you sit around talking about race? I will not vote for the man because he is all about changing America to what his ideals are. They are certainly not my ideals. Thank you Ms. Wall for this article, keep it up!!
