Pettiness seems to be the world we live in. Just look at the politics of blame that have taken over Foggy Bottom in the last eight years. Looking at the legislation that has been passed, doesn't seem like anyone can go beyond it.

Gen. McPeak is a fool and makes me sick to my stomach. What worries me most about Obama being president is who he will pick a his advisers. He seems to have people around him that have disdain for our country. How can anyone speak poorly of McCain for his service/captivity in Vietnam. McPeak is an embarassment to the country. Obama does not have the judgment of character to be president of the US. If you want to see what our country will look like just look at how our major cities are run by liberals. That is who he will chose as advisers.

As a current AF Officer who served during the same time as McPeak, I can truly say that he was the Carter of the AF during his tenure. If this story is true, I guess it doesn't surprise me that he's resorting to personal attacks. It's just like he was back on active duty. McPeak is a non-relevant voice, and THANK GOD FOR THAT!

I occupied a senior position in the Department of the Air Force during Gen. McPeak's tenure as CSAF. On occasion, I had the opportunity to observe his demeanor, treatment of subordinates, and the opinion of him by his equals in the other services. His comments about McCain are representative of his sometimes harsh opinion of others. He was an excellent pilot with a an outstanding career in military aviation, but in my opinion and that of others, he was often too critical and unfair to those who served with him. I think the rank and file of the AF and many of it's leaders, were glad to see his rein end. His insistence on a costly and un-necessary uniform change was just one of the examples of his poor judgement. His position in the Obama campaign does not speak well for Obama's knowledge and judgement about military affairs.Obama should disown McPeak's petty and disrespecfull comments about a true American hero, a fact, whether or not you agree with McCain's politics!

Just goes to show that Obama surrounds himself with a bunch of idiots which I guess make him look smarter. The libs will say anything to get back in control. God help us if Obama, Reid and Pelosi are running this country and some jackasss like McPeak is sec of defense.

How such limp wrist light weights like McPeak get to be generals in the AF? What a pud.

Electing Obama as President Of The United States along with his juvenile, hate filled promoters, would be the equivalent of appointing Jack Kevorkian as Director of The National Institutes Of Health. Unquestionably, national suicide. Greg Neubeck

This is an unbelievable statement from a career officer. I spent 31 years in the Navy and served in the same community with John McCain. Every POW who returned from Viet Nam was given special favors and consessions to get them back on track if that is what they choose to do. Have we forgoten what these men gave for their country? Whatever special favor Senator McCain and other received was far below what they richly deserved. I find the Generals comments to be offensive and very misleading. As far as the Senators eating habits I am really confused, I am glad he can now enjoy a good meal in the land of the free. Thanks to all our men who served. And yes General that includes you!

Tony McPeak is a bitter old man...his nasty anti-GOP remarks are a joke here in Oregon. it's really NONE of his business what or where Sen McCain, a real war hero, eats. Tony is just jealous of John.

When I was an Air Force officer, McPeak was known as a general who absolutely would not tolerate anyone who was not fit and trim. He valued an officer's personal appearance above all. If an officer did not present a perfect physical appearance, he had no use for that officer. Taylor is absolutely correct about that ridiculous uniform change. McPeak is unable to see past the surface if the surface does not please him.

What a jealous, small-minded petty little arrogant man. I am not surprised that he us on the Obama/Soros payrole. Have some damn ideas about how we can PROTECT THIS COUNTRY AND KILL THE JIHADISTS THAT ARE TRYING TI KILL US AND OVERTAKE EUROPE, ENGLAND AND NOW THIS COUNTRY... THIS IS NOT A 'FAT ISSUE"... IDIOT.

This is funny - I was active duty Air Force under McPEak as COS. His claim to fame was changing the uniform requirements from crew neck T-shirts to V-neckk tee shirts. Can you imaging a 4 star general making command decisions on T-shirts? This guy was a flaming idiot. He couldn't stand up to McCain.

I was wondering what kind of military officers would give support to such an unworthy candidate and I just found out. I think Obama is a Pied Piper and McPeak is just one of many fools to follow BO. After volunteering and having served in Vietnam as an enlisted man who was honorably discharged as a Specialist 5th Class, I am glad McPeak was not in my chain of command, he probably would have had us surrender. He seems to lack common sense and judgment. I see no problem in a former POW receiving special treatment after he is released and reports for duty at his new outfit. Obviously Sen. McCain was qualified to continue with his career in the military if that is what he desired. MCCain didn't even accept special treatment when Uncle Ho learned McCain was the son of an Admiral. Uncle Ho wanted to release him and McCain said no. I wonder what McPeak would have done if he had been in POW McCain's shoes.
