HUFFMAN: Property rights and wrongs

The water rights involved were "real property" and the actual issue was that because of the water rights, the Hages owned what rested on BLM land...AKA as the Sagebrush Revolution. Strange that Nevada has been offered a totally new fresh water Source that will triple the State's water supply and yet Nevada refuses to investigate the validity of the new Source. Keep an eye on rancher Dean Baker's struggle with the Southern Nevada Water Authority (Las Vegas)regarding the confiscation of underground water in the region. Article V of The United States Constitution states: Amendment V (1791) No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation. The Hague's followed the rules, however how can you honestly win anything against the Federal Government when they print their own money and can spread it where they want? They first have an army of lawyers to make your life a living hell and thanks to Richard Nixon and the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and groups like the Sierra Club, who don't want you to as a land owner to develop any land that you may own because of some bird or insect that happened to make a nest in the middle of hundreds or thousands of acres...in this case the releasing of elk onto the land that these people wanted to use for cattle production. These groups don't care about the elk or anything else, espically human...all they care about is getting their agenda across and as much money into their pockets as possible. Ask yourself this question; how do these groups get funded? Follow the money, they are really afraid of this. These so called rights that we have were thrown out the window a long time ago when you started having these well paid (bribed)(new word = lobbied) judges just like politicans can only see the dollar signs...don't ever think that they give a rat's ass about you or your family or how this will effect you in later life. The government and these lobbying groups basically waited on these people to die and hope that if they have children, hoped that they would not have the stomach or the money to keep the fight going. Basic answer from a layman like me: You don't have any rights, get used to it.
