WEDNESDAY, JUNE 25, 2008 Justin Peters (http://www.justinpeters.org) was on VCY America's Crosstalk" program today on this movement. Very good interview. When you get to Crosstalk America, look for the June 25 program with Justin Peters.

Madam, You are very knowledgeable about these revival movements. God moves through imperfect people, often to our amazement. I am a Christian and a pastor and you did conclude with my personal “soap-box” issue. While we Christians strive to follow Jesus’ command to “heal the sick,” we often neglect His equally important command to “feed the poor.” “Lord, forgive us for being an inadequate testimony of Your huge tender heart of compassion for not only for the billions sick in the world, but also for the millions starving.”

Madam, Madam, They decried Jesus when he walked on the earth, so I am not surprised the Media are jumping on the bandwagon, what I do find amazing that normally quality reports are reduced to tabloid style reporting. I see you are looking at this with a microscope and not looking at the impact this and the other revivals are having on the world’s stage. Take the small meeting in Dudley, UK over 2000 meetings every night to seek God, and people are being healing, verified by the own doctors, people are stepping out and ministering to the local communities. Take the small town in Broxburn, Scotland, I have seen the sick healed (I was there praying for them). These meetings are stirred from the Outpouring in Florida, as is my own church, who by the way was started from the Sunderland, UK revival, that was started from the Toronto outpouring, that was started from the Argentine outpouring many years ago which is still continuing. I would think a reporter would seek the truth, get out in to the real world and follow the story , to it’s roots, and don’t be like the rest, or are you too comfortable and happy in your own world not to risk it. Here is a thought come and join me at one of the Broxburn meetings and get a chance to talk to some revivalists, if you are to scared to talk with Todd himself, drop me a line let me know what you think. God bless dear

As this is probably the first article I have ever read in the Washington Times, either in good old fashioned print or via the web. It is interesting that observations are made from afar and unworthy of a plane ticket. Never the less, judgements will be made by what we see and hear. That's human nature and we will all reach our own conclusions. I would agree that upon seeing Todd Bentley for the first time does defy the tradition of a "preacher man", even the stereotypical American version that us Brits can form, you know the type, White suit, diamonds the generally well healed sort - see we're all affected by making judgements! Last October I had my first opportunity to experience Fresh Fire Ministries (FFM) and Todd Bentley first hand whilst they were at our church in the UK. It is true to say, the style and the delivery caused me to wrestle with my conscience and make some hasty judgements. As a result, I concluded that I was not a fan of them (FFM) and I wouldn't rush back if they ever returned. However, judgements should be made carefully and the door should never be totally closed, so as not to allow a change of heart or opinion. Since April, I have been one of the millions of viewers tuned into GOD TV to watch this outpouring. Amongst all the healings and the testimonies, which is fantastic, the one thing that has stood out for me, has been the fact that Todd Bentley is passionate about giving the credit to God! For those who are sceptical about such things and perhaps don't believe in God at all, I would like to invite them to ask themselves, "if there were a God, what would he look like?" Would He heal the sick? Would he rescue people from addictions and bondage? Would he take peoples' burdening debts and cancel them? It seems simple to say that people have been beating up on God since time began and equally turning on the people who represent him. But perhaps the biggest question to anyone to ask is "What if, what is going on in Florida is God?", What then?
