It seems to me that banning hand guns just keeps the guns away from lawful people. Is it possible to require all new guns manufactured or imported, all gun owner's guns, and all guns seized be test fired and the ballistics information be stored on a computer server and made available to police everywhere. Also, gun barrels manufactured should be test fired for ballistics, as well. At least with this information, law enforcement might be able to identify and/or track down the person responsible for the illegal discharge of a gun. Just my thoughts; http://brokengovernment.wordpress.com

I find the pictures associated with this article to be priceless in that the anguish displayed on the faces of you anti-freedom, power-mad political hacks over your loss of power do not begin to compare with the anguish endured by so many who died defenselessly in your city. You have the blood of an innumerable count of innocents on your hands and yet you continue to attempt to strip your subjects of their right to self-defense. You stand at the podium surrounded by handgun-bearing, armed guards and some of you armed yourselves, but still you continue to deny those same protections afforded you to the citizens of DC. You somehow believe your lives are more precious than theirs. Shame on the lot of you. We can only hope this is the beginning of your political undoing at the next election. May the citizens of DC cast you out on your "collective, not individual" rumps!!!

Finally, the pinheads have lost and the patriots have won.

Did anyone else notice this the alarming statement made by an official in Chicago that the 2nd amendment does not apply to state and local governments, and her claim that their are Court decision, no doubt written by unfit judges like Justice Breyer who is always looking to undermine the Constitution, supporting her claim? I quote from the Washtimes: Benna Ruth Solomon, deputy corporation counsel for Chicago - which enacted a ban similar to the District's in 1982 - said a challenge to her city's laws would first have to overcome prior court rulings that state the Second Amendment does not apply to state and local governments. The amendment applies to the District because it is a federal enclave, Ms. Solomon said. "Unless and until the court changes that interpretation, the restrictions of the Second Amendment as interpreted today will not apply to state and local governments," she said. How can such an absurdity even be remotely correct or is this Liberal sore loser just making it up?

The new Washington Times website is still an abomination, and needs to be fixed.

We do welcome and applaude this decision. It is rather limited, I imagine they had to strike a deal with Justice Kennedy, and at 5/4 way to close. But it is a victory and now honest people who value their rights as free people need to keep pushing for a Strict Constructionist Court. I do have more to say but I am off to the gun range. Bye!
