This is not Roe vs. Wade. There is no implied right and it cannot be normalized through consensus. It is stated directly in the Constitution.

I, unlike Justice John Paul Stevens, look forward to more dominoes to be knocked off the table. Too long have our rights been trampled by tin pot beaurocrats and liberals. How often have our rights been abridged in the name of "public safety"?

Stevens is right, this is the first of many decisions removing the vastly unconsitutional and unreasonable gun laws that have been put in place since the 1960s. The reasonable gun laws and some unreasonable ones were written and adopted then. Those since then have been very unreasonable.

What business is it of Justice Stevens to be worrying about "policy choice"? Is he a Justice or a legislator?

The most important point in Mr. Pruden's editorial is stated in the beginning: If you disagree with EVERYTHING you think McCain stands for, don't be stupid and refuse to vote. McCain will stay with the Constitution re the appointment of Federal judges. This is the only thing anyone has to know about McCain. Spread the word.

The Court's 'majority' got it right. But the liberals remain determined to take ALL of our rights away from us, not just our guns, so this latest affirmation is a mere bump in the road to them. And they will move to do just that if people don't wise up to their word games. We must continue to pay close attention to their ever-continuing attempts to overthrow the Constitution. Mark my words. If the new Una-Bomba is elected, and a 'sufficient' Democrat majority ensues in both House and Senate to stop filibusters, there will be a definite overt attempt to turn this country into a socialist police state. Their leaders already have indicated that they will brook NO further criticism from the right through talk radio, and they fully intend to stop ALL other forms of dissent to their desire for permanent rule as well, by whatever means necessary. I wouldn't even be surprised to see them move to free the criminals from our prisons so as to make room for those who don't approve of liberal politics, and then make the mistake of actually saying so. For those of you who fear being labeled a racist if you don't vote for the new Una-Bomba, being labeled as a member of the opposition in the future might be come an even more serious threat to your freedom(s).

No point needs more emphasis than the future judicial appointments of the two presidential choices. No matter what disagreements conservatives may have with McCain, Obama would be a disaster in this respect.
