Were all of the people shown in the film white? I saw it and I don't remember any human characters who were not persons of pallor.
to answer the comment before mine- yes, there were persons of color depicted- quite a few times, actually.
personally i find this review to be quite illogical and ridiculous. i just came home from seeing this movie and i was thoroughly impressed with every aspect- direction, plot, visuals [being an animation enthusiast, i always look forward to pixar's stroke of artistic genius] and i was far from disappointed with ANYTHING. the only persons who can sit down and honestly with a scathing review of such a spectacular piece of film, can only be described in my point of view as complete lunatics. or robot-haters, which is apparent.
It's true ... I hate all robots, even the cuddly kind like R2D2.
But seriously, Rinji, I certainly am in the minority regarding my take of the film, but it wasn't a scathing review by any stretch. I describe the first part of the film as darn near magical and I start by expressing my admiration for just how bold a project is.
Thanks for writing, even if we agree to disagree. I appreciate all feedback.
