Sorry but Jim Webb as president does not appeal to me. I appreciate his work for our servicemen but that alone does not mean he would make a good president.

AOSILVER

Jim Webb deserves consideration and an "up-close" look by Sen.Omama as the leading contender for V.P. Consider: He's a legitimate Vietnam Hero awarded the Navy Cross and Silver Star as a Company Commander-a rare thing in the USMC. He's from tough working class stock. He's brilliant. He knows how Congress works and how to get things done...politely. I would be PROUD to have him as the U.S. President...the real yardstick to measure him by. He could help get Obama elected AND play an important #2 role as his V.P. He is a tough-minded, people savy, smart and experienced guy. Did I mention his extensive experience as the lead attorney on the Hill responsible for Veterans (VA) legislation. He was Secretary of the Navy. He's a family man who could withstand the darts and arrows of the vetting process. He has first-class LEADERSHIP SKILLS. He knows what a mess they'd be walking into at the White House and Sen. Jim Webb is perhaps America's best kept political secret because he doesn't beat his chest and say "look-at-me". A Combat-tested proven Winner!

A great statesman. A great patriot. A brilliant intellectual. A great Marine.

Jim Webb is a little to much of a rookie to run on a ticket with Barack. The country is already voting for a young guy in Barack. His VP has to be a voice of experience. Someone who has the clout to protect Barack. Joe Biden is the VP, sorry kids. Biden's partition plan in Iraq, his Pakistan and Afghanistan knowledge, and his ability to speak clearly and directly to people gives Obama a way to fight his detractors while keeping his composure. Plus everyone like Biden. They say a good 30% of republicans on the fence would trust Obama with Biden behind him. OBAMA's strategy is to swing republicans without nominating one as VP. So Biden is It. OBAMA/BIDEN '08
