I am quite surprised and disappointed at "our representative" Elanore Holmes-Norton. I thought that as a Constitutional lawyer, she of all people would actually understand what she read in the Constitution. I believe this is the thinking for the DC City Council, the Mayor and Ms. Norton. We know that there are criminals in Washington DC, but the Metropolitian Police Department cannot distinguish the difference between regular citizens and criminals unless the regular citizens are unarmed and shaking in their houses, what is left must be the criminals. Well, with thinking like this, why do you think crime is the way it is in DC? Ms. Norton believes that because of the decision by the Supreme Court, that restrictions should be even more stringent than they are now...making you, the dependent child that you are, even more dependent and even more stupid. How do these people get away with thinking like this? It is the fault of the people of Washington DC. They blindly keep electing these people because they think that someone downtown has their best interest at heart. Ask yourself this, when was the last time Ms. Norton showed up at your house when your mother or grandmother were mugged or their house was broken into? When was the last time someone from the Wilson building came calling when your father, brother or friend were assaulted outside of their house, or when was the last time the police actually cared when your car that you paid so much for was stolen or jacked? The Constitution is supposed to be for everyone, not just the people in power to use when it benefits them, but for everyone. The United States Supreme Court said that I can protect my house, if that means that I can get a handgun, shotgun or rifle then it is my choice, not theirs. And this is what makes them lose their lunch, Ms Norton, Mr Fenty, the DC City Council and the Metropolitan Police Department lose that control. Sucks to be them. Follow the money folks, see how many of these gun control advocates contributed to their campaigns for their votes.

Does anyone know what Anarchy is? If 'most gun laws remain intact' who is going to enforce them? The politicians, the cops, the lawyers? Maybe we can give all those unemployed lawyers some more welfare work! Those who don't agree with the US Supreme Court's ruling need to be slapped in the mouth and their 1st Amendment rights taken away! Let's see how loud they can complain? This pick and choose the Amendments they wish to obey by the left of the US Constitution and the ruling of the US Supreme Court shows them for what they really are, Anti-American thugs and are worse than the terrorist! Maybe we should start calling them, "TERRORIST!"

Perdiction: Each restriction on firearm possession in DC and every where else will begin a slow toppeling over. The voices that claimed "murder in the streets..." (as you actually have in DC) never seem to pan out in the states such as Florida and Texas where right to carry laws have been passed... in every state that has passed these laws has seen a reduction in crime. The myths of the gun-banners never hold up to critical examination. The SCOTUS decision will have far reaching effects and the Brady-gun banners should go ahead and turn out the lights their attempt at tyranny has ended.
