SEEN AND HEARD IN JUPITER, FLA.

MARLINS 4, NATIONALS 2

The Nationals’ best news from the game — played on a stormy Easter Sunday at Roger Dean Stadium — might be that starter Tim Redding isn’t seriously hurt after leaving in the fourth inning.

He came out after experiencing spasms on the right side of his back, but he said he expects to make his next scheduled start in Friday’s accelerated camp game.

Lastings Milledge and Aaron Boone each had two hits and scored a run for the Nationals. Cristian Guzman drove in his team-leading 11th run of the spring on a third-inning sacrifice fly.

TEMPERATURE CHECK

UP — RAY KING (LEFT)

Now at 72/3 scoreless innings for spring; laid down textbook bunt.

UP — AARON BOONE

Proves he will be a valuable bat off the bench.

SIDEWAYS — PAUL LO DUCA

Timing at plate not there but no problems with knee so far.

DOWN — FLORIDA WEATHER

This is not complaining, but you don’t expect tornado watches in March.

OVERHEARD

“I told the guys, ‘This is going to be interesting,’ with [Matt] Lindstrom throwing mid-90s and Ray King trying to bunt a ball.”

— Manny Acta on King’s sacrifice bunt
