I noticed the Worldwide Church of God is against conservatives leaving the church and taking property with them. They have a new name now, surprised that Worldwide came up. Well when the Worldwide Church of God went astray, they kept all of the property and wouldn't even let others who left reprint Herbert W. Armstrong's writings. The SOB's! They'll get theirs! And I ended up with all of the truth. eli3.tripod.com. What a heaven of a note!

The story should have called the many churches who left the main Diocese "Bible believing Episcopalians" rather than "conservative Episcopalians." The main Diocese elected a Bishop who is an adulterer, alcoholic, who abandoned his wife and children to have sex with another man (all of these things easily verifiable). In doing so, the main Diocese demonstrated that they do not believe God's Word - the foundation of the church. God's Word clearly does not allow a person actively participating in such behavior to be in church leadership. See 1 Timothy 3:1-12 for reference.

The Anglican church never gives the building to dissenters. England had a big war about that, thus presenting us with Pilgrims, Puritans, and Presbyterians. As a result nobody attends a C of E church, and they are preserved empty for bats and tourists. One can wander all day through Canterbury Cathedral, viewing the place of St. Thomas's martyrdom, a model of the Black Prince on hiis tomb, and other treasures without being interrupted by people praying. Theree is music, though from endowed choirs. I wish all churches could be like that. Try our National Cathedral (is not that a presumptuous adjective?) climb down to the crypt and view Woodrow Wilson's tomb (under a crusader's sword and cross). Much better. Some of those old churches in England are creepy. I prefer not to pray next to a R.C. saint's ghost or a royal corpse however completely it may be decayed. At least no one stabbed Wilson and made a mess on the floor. I never felt his ghost there. Maybe try Geneva. I dare say, Obama finds it hard not to say to his henchmen, "will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?" Wilson might have said the same of Henry Cabot Lodge.

All this money going into the pockets of well-heeled attorneys ought to make Christians everywhere weep. This money could be used for advancing the cause of Jesus, Head of the Church. This debacle is about power and wealth. The National Church just can't let it go, yet it is National Church that has drifted from their confession of faith to embrace cultural relevancy.

For the Episcopal National leadership the issue sadly to say is just about the money and property, in other words "greed". They are spending millions on legal fees to take control of properties that don't belong to them. Instead the money spent for lawyers could be better spent on missionary work that "they" say is the church's primary work.

Got a solution for you: Become Baptists. Each church is independent.
