Wes What happened to the Times? I look for my favorite writers and I can't find anybody. I stumbled into you by accident. You are are normally the top of my copied news to read in my spare time - Tuesdays and Fridays. Wow! Won't be coming back much. Regards Bill Haggerty

Great, as usual. Have been trying for 2 days to find your column. Don't think much of the new format. Hope you're really enjoying your retirement. Best thing I ever did.

How about email subscriptions for our favorite columns? Then we wouldn't have to waste time searching for them in these virtual catacombs.

Wes, I know you are "semi-retired" as editor, but the new webpage is a disaster as far as I am concerned. Yur commentary finally popped up at 9 AM this morning. Inside Politics (when found) is two days old, still haven't found Inside the Beltway and Inside the Ring. And - when something is finally brought up, the print is so small I have to get out a glass (and I thought I had a pretty good size screen). Pleas tell me I won't have to resort to the Washington Post....gasp!). John Allen

Betraying friends seems to have turned into a lucrative career for D. Morris. I think McLellan feels he was betrayed when he was lied to. He probably wouldn't have turned if he was just told to respond with no comment.

First off, if you have a problem with the website, send an email to the webmaster. If you can't find something, do a search for it. There is a tool at the top called font size. Use it. As far as the Pruden arcticle, it is tacky to add a blip about Obama and use his picture when the majority of the article is about McClellan and making President Bush look bad (as if the president needed any help). I look forward to reading the book. Sometimes truth is more important than loyalty.

Wes, As usual, right on target. I must add my voice to the ones who don't care much for the new format. Bill

I had to go to Freerepublic to find this article. Where is inside the ring. Where is Inside politics, or inside the beltway. You think you might get the site fixed by tomorrow so I can find Nobels and Knaves. BTW you are my noimation for knave of the year.

Mr Pruden I have tried for days to find your column, you're the best writer being published these days. The new format is a challenge I would not waste time on if you hadn't appeared today. Clif

Wesley: I have to agree with the other readers. The new website design is a disaster. You're a newspaper! Forget the flash and trash, make the site easy to navigate. I had to search the site to find your column (my MUST READ twice a week!). I think the the idea from Politicker is a good one.. email subs for TWT columns. I also think a searchable database archive of your past columns would be a hit. Regards Darryl L. Flowers

As usual Mr. Pruden has said it right. McClellan probably thinks that he's scored a big 'hit'.... all he has done is shot himself in the foot, and that is a wound that will never heal. The NEW format STINKS..... Can't find anything, and WHAT is with the printing everything over on the LEFT. I thought the Wash Times was a conservative publication! I like to make copies of interesting commentaries and editorials to send to friends who aren't computer savvy. The new system prints everything way over on the LEFT, and WASTES paper like crazy. Worse, WHY is the print so damned small? I don't need the extra step of magnifying. Can't you people do anything that even resembles NORMAL?

Why can't I print this or any other article without all the 'garbage' since some idiot savant designed the new improved (sic) web site????? New is definitely not better with this new offering. Please return to the 'good old days.' Sincerely, Carl [in Bucks County PA]

Finally found your column(It is my favorite). The new format is attractive and may be okay when they get the "bugs" worked out. I do agree with others that is difficult to find our "old favorites". Best wishes on your retirement. John King

Not one rebuttal of anything McClellan said in his book. Attacking the messenger does not change the story. Why would you expect someone to cover up for the president. As a reporter you should be trying to find out the truth and report it. If you have information that discredits what McClellan says print it. Your loyalty should be to this country and the constitution. Loyalty to friends that are lying to the public is not a reason to be proud. What kind of a value system would make you think that lying is ok?
