Good heavens! Of course she is an airhead and she proved it with some of the worst press interviews I have ever seen on television or read in newspapers and magazines. She proved it to Republicans in droves who came to question McCain's judgement and now support Obama. She proved it to the 59% of the potential voters who say she is not qualified to be Vice President. I resent the association of the word "airhead" with "brunette". I am a bruette. Well, mostly brunette when the gray doesn't show.

I am a journalist who has been covering the oil and gas industry in Alaska for more than 15 years. I am not a Republican, but I have a lot of respect for Gov. Sarah Palin's integrity and intelligence, even though many of the readers of the newspaper I work for, Petroleum News, do not like how she has treated Alaska's big three oil producers. It's your loss, Americans, if you send her back to us. And our gain. -Kay Cashman, Anchorage, Alaska

Restating the myths correctly as facts: Fact 1: Mrs. Palin cannot be conservative because true conservatives (in the tradition of Jefferson, Madison, Adams, Payne, and the 1797 Treaty of Tripoli ) would scorn her intrusion of church doctrine into her governmental functions. Fact 2: Mrs. Palin's $150,000 campaign wardrobe-paid by the Republican National Committee, shows that she is a media abberation, not to be taken seriously as a leader. Fact 3: She is neither a feminist nor a conservative. She has little record of truly empowering women; she just mimics feminist power tactics while exploiting her beauty pageant charm and gun-toting masculinity. Fact 4a: She is an airhead. amelia45 drve this point home beautifully. Hell, she couldn't even name the Washington Post (or any other) when asked to identify newspapers she reads. Fact 4b: Conservatives ARE dumb. There is a strong correlation by state between average SAT scores and presidential preference - higher average SATs associated with greater support of Obama. THERE IS NO VIABLE DEFENSE OF PALIN! She's out of her league, over her head, and a disgrace to the GOP. This editorial is both laughable and pathetic - rather like Saracuda herself.

I am not sure exactly how to define what 'it' is but Sarah Palin has got it just as does Obama. Her campaign crowds have equaled and at times surpassed Obama's in spite of the media's attempt to dismember her while giving Obama a pass regarding just about about everything. The liberal media will never leave her alone because she has the potential to out 'rock star' their 'rock star'. And for that she scares them to death.

Isn't it amazing, that the best Sarah Palin's critics have against her is her wardrobe! Beam me up, Scotty! Remember Dan Quayle? The media crucified him because he misspelled "potato," but what about Biden? Several weeks ago, I said that "Biden is the gift that keeps giving!" Ironically, I just heard Fox News repeat this phrase just the other day so I was way ahead of them! Biden had to drop out of the race for president in 1988 because of plagiarism! He urged a paraplegic state official to stand up to be recognized in Columbia, Missouri, when he asked him to "stand up so that we can see you, Chuck!" Biden is the one who said that when the stock market crashed, FDR went on TV to talk to the American people. FDR was not the president, and there were no TV cables!!!! And again, the media gave him a pass? And Sarah is the "airhead?" And what about the Democrat candidate himself? If Obama is elected president, our world will change forever. His association with terrorists, Muslims and people who hate this country is what he is. When Obama said in an interview with George Stephanopoulos, "My Muslim faith...." (Ooops!)and Stephanopoulos had to correct him, what does it tell you about him? He also said that he had visited 57 states and still has one more to go - (and the media let this go by!) Ironically, there are 57 Islamic states in the world! Perhaps that is where he became confused, and Sarah is the "airhead?" If anyone is out of their leagues! It is Obama and Biden. In an article by Brussels Journal, they write, of "Understanding Obama: The Making of a Fuehrer." I find it odd that more and more a connection is also made to The Fuehrer. Ironically, I made this connection to Obama months ago when I wrote, "the last time an entire nation was mesmerized by a someone charismatic was by ....... Adolph Hitler! Don't laugh! How else can I explain Republicans, especially conservatives who will vote for someone who stands against everything they believe in, especially in view of Obama's support for partial birth abortion - (let's call it what it really is, infanticide!) and the fact that Obama voted against a bill three times that would have protected the life of a baby who had survived a botched abortion, preferring instead to let this wasted human life be thrown onto a pile of rubbish. I look forward to the time when Sarah Palin becomes President of the United States - especially when compared to Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, who couldn't keep his zipper up, and God forbid, an Obama/Biden ticket!

The social intellect rates intelligence by how people fit in socially, therefore, if you don't agree with the social intellect, you are "dumb". Such is the case for the dissenters of Obama. He simply doesn't want "dumb" (per Sue Deaunym)people on his plane and suggested there is room on Biden's plane. Go Figure.

What hypocrites. And throughout the campaign never a mention of what Sarah's counterpart, Joe Biden "the gaff machine", has spent on those hair plugs, botox forehead, plastic surgery eyes, fake tan, and fake smile. Talk about expensive! Talk about vanity!

The Democrats must be very afraid of Sarah Palin, they are spending more time and effort in sliming her then they do in attacking President Bush. The only other times I have seen them spend so much time and effort were in their attacks on President Reagan and their attacks on Dan Qayle. The party that keeps screaming about how we have to change the politics of personal destruction sure spends a lot of time trying to destroy the reputations of their opponents.

Folks, it is not "the Democrats" or the "Democratic Party" which are tearing down Sarah Palin; she's doing a grand job herself, with some assitance of the allegedly "liberal" media, her own ethics boards and legislators, and select Republicans. The fear is not of Sarah Palin. The fear is of the incredible gullibility and stupidity of the US population, a large minority of whom seem unable to grasp what a mindless media prop she is, who seem to like her cuz she winks at 'em and calls herself Christian.

I'm an independent voter. I agree with your rebuttals to myths 1-3, but with respect to #4, I'm not convinced she is very bright. My skepticism has nothing to do with her being a woman or a belief that "conservatives are dumb." I reached the conclusion from her interviews with Couric, Gibson, Hannity and others. She was asked a series of very easy questions and she gave a series of very confused and yes, dumb, answers. Maybe I'm a harsh grader but is there any other way when you are talking about the VP of the US?

Gov. Palin has a solid record of achievement in Alaska and the Democrats are scared to death of her!! She could be an American Margaret Thatcher and the Democrats are firing all shots in their dirty tricks to try to besmirch her while she is still relatively unknown. The Democrats fear facing her as a presidential candidate and they hope ridicule will work for now. Millions of us can tell you that won't work! Gov. Sarah Palin is here to stay and to triumph.

I'm an independent educated woman and I'm FED UP! The media has made fools of themselves with the grotesquely biased coverage Gov. Palin. Woman should be outraged but instead they attack because they disagree with her politics. Once I finally had a chance to hear an honest interview with Gov. Palin its obvious she is a very intelligent woman. I had already taken the time to read unbiased material, watch CSpan and look at her record. Very impressive. She took the national stage quickly in a very hostile environment. As a feminist, I'm embarrassed by the immediate cheap shots from so-called feminists especially the old ones. They should be maternally mentoring all women; instead they are like mother rats that eat their young. There is no defense for them!

At a time when the nation is getting ready to elect its first "Didn't Know" president, liberals want to talk about how "stupid" Sarah Palin is. Obama says he didn't know his pastor of 20 years was a raving racist...Did know his pal Bill Ayers was an ex-terrorist ... Didn't know his aunt was living in this country illegally... That's his answer to everything that reflects poorly on him -- didn't know! Amazing how the same people who have anointed Obama as the new Messiah want to keep religion out of politics. (Find me a Founding Father who ever tried to pass himself off as "The One.") Amazing how the same people who decry Palin's "beauty pageant" looks are salivating all over Obama because he is s-o-o-o-o-o handsome.

I don't think people are upset that the campaign bought some clothes for Sarah-they are upset at the amount spent on them. Ordinary eveyday people cannot afford to shop at Saks 5th Ave. etc. If the campaign had shopped at more middle of the road of the road stores the uprising would not have been nearly as bad. The other thing was paying a makeup person over $22,000 is half a month is appaling. Why can't Sarah apply her own makeup.99% of all women do---before they go to work. I have a college education and worked in management most of my woking life. I am now retired. I never spent $150,000 on clothes in my entire life--and I have always been considered well dressed
