"'If the media convince enough voters that that is negative campaigning for me to call Barack Obama out on his associations, then I don't know what the future of our country would be in terms of First Amendment rights and our ability to ask questions without fear of attacks by the mainstream media,' Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told WMAL radio Friday." If Palin had ever read the Constitution of the United States, as amended, she would know that the First Amendment states very succinctly that "Congress shall make no law ...... abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press....." She is free to criticize Obama 24/7, but, by the same token, the media is entitled to question her claims and criticize her. With almost no exceptions, politicians are not protected from media criticism nor should they be. I doubt however, that Palin has ever read the Constitution. If she had, she would also know what the duties of the Vice President of the United States are. It's not that Sarah Palin is a clueless twit........well, actually that is exactly what it is about, isn't it?

Marantha.Shalom is foolish if he/she trusts Obama-Biden. Obama supporters will long regret an Obama win. When Obama quickly flees Iraq the Middle East will turn upside down. Obama will throw Israel to the wolves led by Iran, Syria and an Iranian dominated Iraq.

Websurfer: "Marantha.Shalom is foolish if he/she trusts Obama-Biden." Ohhhhh, Webby, does that mean you no longer love me? Does it mean that you will no longer send me those "naughty" notes? Actually, Webby, inasmuch as you have no idea whom I support in this election, your comment clearly reveals that you are the presumptuously foolish one here.

If I was an Alaskan I would be concerned about the schools. Sarah Palin has said that the job of the vice-president is to run, caucus and lead the Senate. Now she says criticism of her defamatory statements is infringing on her first amendment rights. How did this woman become governor? How did she become a vice-presidential candidate? We test students before graduation; shouldn't be test candidates.

When you watch a news conference and then read about it in a newspaper and the two don't match, it doesn't take much to know the bias of the reporter. When a reporter in his/her questions displays a lack of knowledge of history, geography, or culture I find myself asking, " Is this the best that a TV/newspaper have?" When a reporter has a follow up question which demonstrates he/she didn't understand the answer, oh my. (I know many questions are answered with a talking point which doesn't match the question. Your job is to know the difference.) I am tired of reporters excusing their trivial coverage of personalities implying they know best what we should know/not know. Or are they simply lazy? When we can write the article before we read it, why read what they have to say. It has become so evident that some people get a complete pass when it comes to coverage of background and views. The press has decided that they are going to choose our next president and have attempted to join the news and opinion pages sometimes as one. Were we not to have noticed? We've got the internet now. We can do our own research now. We can find the pros and cons of any disagreement or person with little effort. If you want our trust, you will have to do better.

HO Ho ho! And these 'blogger agitators' think we trust them enough to believe them over the lamestream media? Acuna? A poverty hole with its collective hand out. 'Test' graduates? Yep, with 'standardized testing', which standards are lowered each year to rid ourselves of such as Rudy. 'Anathema marantha' is the phrase, you ignorant blogger.

Most Americans are led around like a bunch of sheep being taken to slaughter. With most media outlets pushing their own agenda, it's no wonder people don't trust them. What ever happened to journalisic ethics? Lets deal in verifiable and indisputable facts and not rumors or opinions. If the media did, this their credibility might improve...

Having been in the broadcasting and music industry I know for sure how my 'fellow travellers' lean. It's about time the public got wise to how they are being maninpulated by so called journalists to achieve their ends. Many of them are left over 60's radicals who are aging and want to see America turn 'red' but not the Republican red......

rudyacune raises questions about Sarah's views on the vice-presidency? These aren't Sarah's views on the vice-presidency of the United States; they are the United States Constitution's views on the scope and role of the vice-president of the United States. Guess who knows less than Sarah Palin about these important facts? Those who taught rudyacuna and how many others who are going to vote? And yes America was founded as a republic of the people, by the people and for the people, NOT a re-distribution-of-the- wealth, the-government-will-take-care- of-everything socialist state. Or do they NOT teach that in our schools today?

The press has cost the Democrats more elections(at least for president) than they have won for them. People aren't stupid. They see who the press is pushing and vote for the other guy.

This article actually paints a picture that is too rosy for media. Even tho it's critical of media, it's not critical enough. Media spends a lot of time talking about President Bush's 35% approval rating, but none at all talking about the Democrat Congress's 14% approval rating, or their own 9% rating. Media has crossed the line in their Bush Derangement Syndrome - now they're betraying national security in order to "Get W". Where are all the prosecutions?! And the reprehensible way they went after Sarah Palin's family and Joe the Plumber made me want to puke, and then kick someone's you know what. The Soviet's Venona Program worked very well in indoctrinating media in socialism, which is why they're happy as clams with B. Hussein. It's why they've completely abdicated their responsiblity, why they've ignored his history of socialism, racism, and corrupt Chicago politics. I boycott all print and broadcast media, I get most of my news from various blog sites, the WaTimes (a rare, very even-handed outlet), and occasionally Fox, although Fox spends way to much time on trivial BS and ridiculous leftist 'balance'. Hey O'Reilly: Taking a position exactly between two opposing views is just as bad as picking the wrong one, you putz. On the other hand, Olbermann is quite possibly the most repugnant human that has ever been on TV. But I have to admit, today's media makes it easy to know what's best for our country - whoever and whatever they're for (Obama), we should be against.

Along the same lines of my post below, you can tell Sarah Palin's the right person for a leadership role in our country - the leftists hate her with such passion you can bet she'd be a great VP and someday President.

I get post is somewhat informative but it's kinda a captain obvious post. OF COURSE we don't trust the media. The media is so divisive it's not even funny. it doesn't really seem like there is any media out there that is truly bipartisan. They either participate in the liberal illuminati agenda or support the conservative cause. No one really does a good job standing it the middle and saying "here is what's really going on". But i guess this the nature of politics.

Are we really surprised that the media is so biased when the education system turns out journalism majors with no on the road experience. Who are their professors? Nowhere is it more apparent that those who can do and those who can't teach. Many are biased and bitter. You cannot teach real journalism in Universities. It is a hands-on profession. Mistakes will be made but it is the fastest way to learn. There is no substitute for experience. For once a degree in this subject means absolutely nothing in the real world.
