When we understand our purpose, it will not make a difference whether we are called Democrat or Republican. We will change the very meaning of the words. All sides should be voting for God's wisdom and solutions in government and civil matters. Otherwise, it is just one man's opinion over another; there is no authority there. The authority lies in the fact that God said it in His holy books. If we run toward His wisdom and not against it, we will embrace the wisdom to solve the world problems we created by ignoring Him. Barack Obama and the Democrats refuse to stop the right to an abortion (killing of our child before it is born). He refuses to try to stop same gender marriages which will cause confusion for children deciding their marriage partner. His wife proudly said Barack made time to read four (large) Harry Potter (witchcraft, sorcerer) books to his very young children. He cannot end a holy war against our God rejecting ways because he insists on keeping them. He has no power. We cannot expect his other decisions to embrace God's commandments. He overspent on unneccesary, extravagant, excessive advertisement using donations from people who are not rich. He doesn't show evidence toward responsibility with other people's money. His people discredit Governor Palin as unqualified, yet he does not have even as much experience governing anything. She has been a mayor and a governor as well as a business woman. There is indeed audacity to hope in this man. (1Samuel 28: God took King Saul's kingdom from him and gave it to David for disobedience and going to a witch. 1 Samuel 15:22 …'to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. :23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.") Revelation 21:7, 8 7 "He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son 8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

McCain is right as the Constitution clearly states that "The House of Representatives shall be composed of Members chosen every second Year by the People of the several States, and the Electors in each State shall have the Qualifications requisite for Electors of the most numerous Branch of the State Legislature." The same is true of the Senate: "The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, chosen by the Legislature thereof, for six Years; and each Senator shall have one Vote."

winwinaround

Here is another part of Obama's message that says even more for all American's in the same interview: ""“You know, when I was asked earlier about the issue of coal, you know — under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Even regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad. Because I’m capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants, you know, natural gas, you name it — whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.”"" What this is saying is even Natural gas and "you name it" but the main thing I see in this is that he is saying that any added cost or taxes on these industries is passed down to the consumers?? so I guess if the voters would listen to what he is saying that even just his higher taxes and spreading the wealth is going to make the products and services to go up. But i already knew this, however I thought he did not believe in trickle down economics.

Cobra: DC denizens ARE people "of the several states". We are not people of the Argentinian pampas, nor of the African savannahs, nor the Asian steppes, nor the European heartland. We belong to this country in the sense of being full and equal members, not in the sense of chattel property! All of us are included in the "Posterity" of which our forefathers spoke when they pledged their Lives, their Fortunes and their Sacred Honor to secure the Liberty of Themselves and their Posterity. If our origins do not trace to Maryland, then they trace to one of the other states. True expatriates are at the least allowed to vote in the state of their last residence. The gold standard for representation in the United States is that each citizen may select one congressperson and two Senators to represent him or her. That is the standard which we aspire in DC as well. Equality, Nothing More. Equality, Nothing Less.

Cobra: The Constitution originally counted non-whites as only three-fifths of a person...(All men are created equal?). The Constitution originally denied non-whites the right to vote...(All men are created equal?) The Constitution originally denied women the right to vote...(All men are created equal?) The Constitution originally denied young adults of military draft age the right to vote...(All men are created equal?) If the Constitution denies DC residents the right to vote, what can I say except...(All men are created equal?) it is wrong and needs to be changed! As a DC denizen, I have to point out the following: The United States Congress is not really our Congress, since we have had neither voice nor vote in it for over 200 years; the United States Supreme Court (and other Federal courts) are not really our courts, since we have had no say in their operations, their officers, nor the laws they impose on us, for over 200 years; The United States Constitution is not really even our Constitution, since we have had no say in Amendments 12-27. We have not left this country, we have been forced out. But it is still our country, and we demand to be allowed in! Government Without Consent as imposed on DC is illegitimate, unjust, and tyrannical. I must also point out that it is not in the hands of DC residents to decide whether we will be allowed an equal vote. That decision is in the hands of our fellow countrymen. A decent respect to the opinions of mankind (and perhaps more importantly, to the fundamantal principles on which this nation was founded) requires redress of this injustice. We continue to wait for America to fully live up to the true meaning of its Creed.
