Right now the Iraqi's pollute the atmosphere with the emission of over 9 trillion cubic feet of flared natural gas every year. The deal is an environmental triumph.
Critics complain that Royal Dutch Shell would be able to sell the presently wasted gas.
Wow, why aren't the Iraqi's rejoicing about getting something for nothing. The deal creates revenue, reduces needless air pollution and greenhouse gases.
Good news for America and China..
China needs the oil to make things Americans can no longer afford to buy..
Almost 5,000 American dead and many more crippled for life.
So we can go to WAL-MART.
So, Oldarmy, how many died on D-day?
How many died at Antietem?
How many die each day driving the streets of the US?
Your number is so miniscule that it would be a point of pride in any other conflict.
Is each death a tragedy? Yes.
Is the fact that we subdued a tyrannical country and have set it on the road to representative government at a loss of only 5,000 volunteer soldiers a triumph? YES!
Get a clue; and get your head around the nature of war and combat, you sissy.
My question is, Why a Dutch company gets the deals we fought for?
How many Dutch troops were committed to liberating the Iraqi people?
Oh, that's right; the ex-hippies accused President Bush of going to war for oil so much, that it was impolitic actually realize that benefit from all our efforts.
Way to go, whiners.
So ScottVA, it's OK for thousands to die for access to oil that doesn't quite work out, as long as you don't get killed? That 5000 dead, not to mention a million Iraqi's, is "miniscule" so that this is a "point of pride"? And you subdued "a tyrannical country", that never threatened or attacked America, because you just know what is right for every other country and you have a right to kill millions to impose Americas will.
Get a clue; and get your head around the nature of war and combat, you ignorant sociopath.
