Noize

Totally true. I'm living in Croatia my whole life and I see this country going into hell; all the best companies are being sold to thieves for a few euros, all the best jobs are in the hands of building mafia, all the politicians are aware of corruption but don't do nothing about it because they have interests. And Sanader, he wants to see Croatia in EU only to have a better place in EU institutions cause there will gain more money. The saddest part of the story is that small man cannot win the battle against those greedy leeches.

Letter from Croatia: ..what is true for sure is the following: 1. Sanader circled himself with a bunch of not competent people (that are supposed to do the job of a reform). This strategy confirms him an autocrat feeling best at the table where he's the the most cunning and the most informed. This shows he is not for "the job done" but more of creating a buffer, an army of disposable ministers that can be sacked when a scandal appears (Mr. Kirin, Mr. Roncevic of interior affairs, Mrs. Lovrin of the judicial system). All sacked, but Sanader still shinning (or at least he thinks he is) 2. The change needed in the voting system where votes are counted from displaced nationals not living, born or paying taxes in Croatia (but deciding about the parlament in Croatia) is not supported by him meaning he is more about power than about real substance and logics 3. The massive sell-off of state owned property showing him as a trully murky figure whose priorities are always related to today's well-being; completely disregarding the future (selling telecom, gas industry, lobbing to sell electrical energy production and distribution) 4. His party members are corrupted known faces from the 1990's and he cooperates with them obviosuly very well, meaning: this is a person with very low personal standards; this reflecting in people he socializes with 5. This tired face namely, doctor of drama (literally and really) mr. Ivo Sanader, means maybe good - but acts as a cancer driving this beutiful country down to its knees. It is not going to end well because he has went far beyond what he knows how to do and what he is in substance - capable of. The honest Croatian.

This is not the first time that Jeffrey Kuhner is writing articles against the Prime Minister of Croatia. The text which Kuhner wrote today has nothing to do with Croatia. Everybody in Croatia knows for years now that Kuhner is getting paid from the opposition parties in Croatia to write against the government under Prime Minister Dr. Ivo Sanader. It is so embarassing for the Washington Times to allow Kuhner to fight his private battles through the United States media. Somebody, from the opposition in Croatia, ordered this article to be written by Kuhner. They know that nobody in the United States is reading what Kuhner is writing about Croatia and they do not care about that. They just want the Croatian media to use the name of the Washington Times to write against the government under Prime Minister Ivo Sanader.

Sure, Cro, it is like you say at your home country yes? Every article written with a fair amount of critique pointed at mr. Sanader is attributed to "A" Serbian author, "THE BAD" Opposition or "A UNREAL" Croatian? Is this true? And would you be so kind and write exactly WHAT out of Mr. Kuhner's writting is not correct and based on facts? Let's here it so we can have a real; argument based debate. Let's hear it really.

Who Is Jeffrey Kuhner, Why Does He Dislike Cro PM? www.Javno.com Kuhner denied that he is “Pasalic’s protector” Because of his texts about Croatia, some Croatian media released a story about him in 2003, in which he was tied to the Croatian right wing, Gojko Susak and Ivica Pasalic. In a conversation for the newspaper Slobodna Dalmacija in 2003, Kuhner strongly denied this, announcing a law suit against those that called him “Pasalic’s protector”. In the same interview he said that he contacted a large number of Croatian politicians, Kuhner on the way to a big story Criticism of Kuhner’s journalism is not only coming from Croatia. He is being mentioned in the American media, but not because of his column, in which as an author he can write his views, but because of the articles that he releases on his internet portal, Insight on the News. Kuhner’s news portal Insight on the News first revealed the “dirty laundry” of the current presidential campaign in the USA. In an unsigned article, Kuhner released that Hillary Hilton’s election camp will come out with allegations against their rival, senator Barack Obama. The allegations state that Obama spent some time as a six year old boy in an Islamist religious school in Indonesia.

Can you please comment on what this gentelman wrote instead of him as a person? What, out of text he wrote is not based on facts?

Jeez; I really don't care about Kuhner but he is true. If he wasn't true, Sanader's pawns would protect INA & PLIVA (our major companies) from being sold to wrong partners (Barr & MOL). And I really don't want to talk about other great companies and shipyards. Soon everything will be sold to strangers and none of companies will be in the hands of really capable croatian owners and managers. Sanader could stop that if he wanted but we all know what money do (his one watch is worth like my car). He is a thief like all of his pawns.

And cro, please, don't criticize Kuhner, this text isn't about him, it's about some facts that are unfortunately part of our lives.

donnie_brasco

Cro Please focus and say what out of this journalist's writting is not correct? What is not true? Myself, I don't know Kuhner and, frankly, don't care a whole lot about his past (and presence) beacuse I don't know him. But facts are facts and in this article he hits the essence. You may agree or disagree, and it's all good as far as I am concerned, it is only that I think it is not fair to discredit the content by discrediting it's source. Especially when the content is fairly correct and argumented.

Sanader can fight corruption in our country and everyone who tells otherwise is talking nonsenses.

The author of this "article" is totally unfamiliar with the situation in Croatia in last five years or purposely writes negative about PM Sanader. For example, in last 5 years in Croatia were numerous anti-coruptional actions in context of the fight against organised crime: "GRUNTOVEC" (fight against corruption in land-registry), MAESTRO (privatisation fund), INDEX (action on colleges) DIJAGNOZA I, DIJAGNOZA II (corruption in health care system in Split), KOLOVOZ (means "August"), SELO, KUM, PARANGAL (fight against drug dealers all over Croatia)... None of these actions are mentioned in this article. So much about objectivity of Kuhner.

@ donnie brasco: where are the facts in this articles? where are the names of "people" that allegedly steal money from the nation?
Mark as offensive

lonsdale

Also, of course that is very important to signify the connection between Kuhner and right-wing extremist Ivic Pasalic who has a private "war" against croatian Prime Minister Sanader. Sanader has beat Pasalic on HDZ elections for the president and after that Pasalic uses every possibility to attack Sanader. This article of Pasalic's friend Kuhner is one of examples.
