"The men wore wide smiles and seemed to be getting along Monday ..." says Obama lover Bellatoni. (Read all her coverage, reaking with bias toward the One.) Though it doesn't phase her, I recall vividly the lies and unfounded, even vicious attacks that President-elect Barack Hussein Obama levied against President Bush. President-elect Barack Hussein Obama used the Bush administration as a step to place his domestic terrorist, ultra liberal, perhaps unAmerican dirtied feet upon to move on up and into the White House, and as Bellantoni describes, he struts around "smiling" with President Bush. The contrast between the two characters is indeed stark.

Not to fret. Their popularity will be the same in 4 years after the public finds that the corruption in congress and the government hasn't changed and that Obama will overstep his authority and rule the country via Executive Order. Was socialism the Change We Can Believe in?

Clarence, interesting use of the term "move on up" and into the White House. You ever use that phrase in any of your other posts to refer to any caucasian politician? Before you start claiming that our president-elect is "perhaps unAmerican", why don't you put a bit more faith in our democracy? A clear majority of voters selected him in this election - something Clinton can never claim - so why don't you trust Americans not to elect a "domestic terrorist, ultra liberal, perhaps unAmerican" individual to lead our country? I didn't vote for the guy, but you're G.D. right I'm going to support him and pull for him - and defend him against bitter, small-minded arguments.

one of the most troubling things is just how easily some democrats just fall in line with whatever obama is selling. this is very troubleing to me. over the weekend we had a congressman saying that “wealthy people who have wealth somehow think they entitled to hold on to that wealth.” I LITERALLY GOT UP OF MY COUCH AND STOOD UP - as if i might miss the next thing he might say. IT WAS SIMPLY ASTOUNDING. WHEN DID WE BEGIN TO TELL PEOPLE WHEN THEY MAKE THEIR MONEY THEY ARE NOT ENTITLED TO IT? i got visions of the old movies of the GESTAPO walking in your home and just taking whatever they wished and thrashing to the floor anything they didnt like then helping themselves to your meal as it cooked on the range. IT LITERALLY SCARED THE LIVER OUR OF ME.

Ooooh. "move on up" has touched a racial nerve with PhillipLatio75. Curious, 'coz I forget ... please refresh my memory: Is Obama black or white? Ahhhh! Right! He's RED. Btw, poor choice in screen names dude: Fellatio75?

DS80 - nothing touched a racial nerve with me. It was simply an observation at poorly disguised racism. If you want to be an apologist for racism, that's fine with me. Or if you want to claim that "move on up" wasn't a racist comment, throw it out there and we'll see how reasonable people feel. Btw, my last name isn't pronounced like that. Nice sense of humor though, I'm sure the other 7th graders will get a kick out of that at lunch tomorrow.

I think Obama and Bush will get along fine together, and I think Bush is ready to get the hell outa there. 8 yrs in that office takes 16 yrs off your life. In terms of taxes, heres the truth: Under CLinton the wealthy paid 39% Bush came in and immediately dropped it to 30%. Obama wants to raise it to 37% Republicans have two bases, the religious right and the super wealthy. In order to oppose taxes on the rich in a way that people other than the super wealthy would understand, they labeled the idea "socialist" It doesnt matter now because Barak is already President, and he's gona do whatever he wants to do, but I guarantee you in 4 years you will not say to yourself "I live in a socialist country"

My congratulations to Afro Americans! You've made it! You've reached the top! As an Asian American, I want to learn from you. How did you do it? Oh yes, I too want -- no, demand -- special privileges and aids and support to my people, until one of us becomes President elect. Until then, I demand more than equal rights from both black and white Americans, or else I will send our own Jesse-Jaackson-san to GM and Walmart and everywhere until either they give us special openings or they go broke. Now, my Afro American friends, you can give up all your special demands and be equal with everyone else, because you have made it!

TokoElijah was one of those poor affluent white kids who had a 4.0 but was passed when he applied to Yale for an African American woman with a 4.0. or, Hes some loser from Kentucky with a GED, who still thinks that its 1992 and affirmative action is a current issue

acoll1, Wrong. I am not a White, and I am a naturalized citizen of the USA. I came to this country with nothing. I chose to become a citizen of the greatest nation on earth. I am proud to be called an American. I worked hard without any special give away coupons. But, I couldn't care less what race one is to be a President, so long as this person is capable and qualified. Anything less is being a racist!

Philatio75, It's amazing how pinheads like you can so easliy ascribe racist motives to others words. You are among a growing (perhaps majority) number of Americans who are looking to the govt to solve you problems rather than fixing them yourselves. BTW, how can you observe that 95% of blacks voted for Barry?...if 95% of whites voted for a white guy running against a black, you and yours would of course scream racism.
Mark as offensive

PhillipLatio75

uoflkjo, Where to begin? How can you accuse me of questioning someone's motives, and then in the next paragraph do exactly that yourself? You're questioning my motives because I thought "movin on up" was a racist comment??? You assert that I'm "among the growing number of Americans who are looking to the govt to solve [my] problems"?? HAHA, what a foolish statement. I'm certainly not doing that at all - I voted for McCain and have been a registered Republican since 1993, when I turned 18. I believe very strongly in personal responsibility and individual liberty. By dismissing me as an ideological opponent, you can dismiss my argument. That's cowardly of you. I notice you never responded to my assertion that "movin on up" WAS a racist comment. Instead, you chose to attack me. You are, sir, the embodiment of what is wrong with our party. Don't attack my motives - attack my judgement. Reasonable people can discuss my judgement. Secondly, your belief that because 95% of blacks voted for Obama that somehow implies racism on the part of black people is naive. 92% of black people voted for Al Gore, and 90% of black people voted for John Kerry. If anything, black people are the core of the Democratic Party, and they voted for one of their own (i.e. a Democrat, not a black person). By "you and yours", I can only assume you mean intelligent people. And no, intelligent people don't cry racism based on voter demographics, we cry racism when people make stupid racist anonymous comments online. Lastly, do you really need to call me a pinhead? Call my statements stupid, my judgement wrong, or my beliefs foolish, but don't attack me personally. Just because we're online doesn't mean we can excuse civility. Pretend you were sitting in a coffee shop discussing politics - I'm sure you wouldn't be name-calling. Keep flexing that muscle in your head, though, uoflkjo. And don't be embarassed, we all make stupid comments now and then.

Gee guys! So what's the big deal about saying "movin on up." I thought that's from an old TV sitcom, "The Jeffersons". Why should anyone get so bent out of shape over that! Grow-up, don't be so childish.

uoflkjo

Tell us Philatio...why is it that the phrase "movin on up" implies racism to you?...
