It seems that American voters saw an opportunity to speak with a loud voice and make a historic choice this year for president. And they did. No, it isn't "the voice of God" necessarily, but it is the voice of the people, many of whom know and love God and pray to Him daily. Perhaps they are the new "illuminati." Perhaps Washington should listen.

"No one can know for sure why any of the approximately 120 million voters voted the way they did." Ah, there's the rub. How many of the 120 million voters were REAL people? How many were fraudulent ballots? How many people voted multiple times? How many rose from the dead? There needs to be some non-biased, systemic accountability in the election process. Is that even plausible given it's the very same cheaters who gamed the system that are about to be installed?

The Republicans will only be able to shift the country back if they wash off all the pork and return to their conservative roots. The current crop of Senators and Representatives, with a very few exceptions (notably Jeff Flake, who always sounds like John the Baptist among Pharisees) scummed out incredibly quickly. What we need is another crop of pre-rot Gingrich-style Contract With America-types who come in with the same agenda but also provide proof that they've hired a bunch of ex-Delta guys to sanction any of them that tries for a third term. Corporate welfare and farm welfare are no more legitimate than any other entitlements.

Fascinating! Only four comments so far and two of them are word for word identical in much of their content. Vera71; No, it isn't "the voice of God" necessarily, but it is the voice of the people, many of whom know and love God and pray to Him daily. TRoberts; No, it isn't "the voice of God" necessarily, but it is the voice of the people, many of whom know and love God and pray to Him daily. Has the DNC already started faxing out their talking points for the seminar commentators? Whovever posted 2nd; did you read the prior posts before cutting and pasting the faxed talking points, or just not give the previous poster credit? Tony made some truly excellant points and deserves to have them responded to serously.

We had two candidates blaming Barney Frank and company's Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac mortgage mess on "greedy bankers". If the havoc caused by corrupt federal market intervention can be attributed to insufficient intervention, then the argument is lost, and we go the way of France, with a Chicago/Daly twist. The Dem's expansion of federal control must be highlighted and the results hung around their collective neck.

If you are a politician and hold a town meeting you are beholden to all people who live in your arena. They do no say they are Democrat or Republican when they voice a concern.
