it's kinda sad that they are going after each other. You expect the liberal illuminati to go after the republicans but not other republicans. i guess there are some legitimate issues but it just doesn't seem like the great time to or the best way to go about this.

Lets put it this way. If McCain gets an election campaign fund audit, Obama gets an election campaign audit. Can't get much more transparent than that. Either that or we just found out the cost of buying the presidency of the United States, $630 million.

The public is not able to buy their government as they are out bid by the special interest groups. Voting for your candidate who you think will serve your country best is a bad joke. Elections are a facade to keep the voters quiet and make them think that this is a democracy.

McCain hurt himself in many ways. His open borders advocacy alone caused millions of the conservative voters to vote third party, or just stay home. http://borderinvasionpics.com Look at these videos of illegal aliens pouring across the border - every day and night. Both candidates condone this.

mcCain never lost this election. he played by the rules and expected the same from his opponent. HIs opponent believes in winning by breaking his word on funds and on buying A.C.O.R.N. votes. this is why this is not a normal "now lets get behind the president who is...." THIS MAN IS NOT THE PRESIDENT WHO IS. HE IS THE MAN WHO CHEATED TO GET THAT POSITION.

SARAH PALIN IS THE ONLY GOVERNOR IN THE LAND THAT POSTS HER SPENDING ONLINE. IF ANYONE WAS NEEDED TO HANDLE OUT FINANCIAL CRISIS IT WOULD HAVE BEEN HER AND HONEST-JOHN MCCAIN WHO HAS MANAGED TO CONDUCT A 26-YEAR CAREER WITHOUT A SINGLE EARMARK. JOHN MCCAIN WHO PROPOSED A PLAN TO ADDRESS THE POSSIBILITY OF FANNIE,FREDDIMAC GETTING OUT OF HAND. not obama who has gotten millions in his short 3YR. U.S. senate posiiton or obama who voted AGAINST THE PLAN that would have prevented the fanniemaeFreddieMac fiacasco. i remain ASTOUNDED at the dumbing down of america who vote according to commercial.

The Republicans want to abandon the McCain-Feingold legislation because they don't believe they can raise funds on the Internet from small donors in mass as the Democrats did. President-elect Obama did not break any laws. In fact, public financing was exactly what he did...he raised massive amounts from the public supporting his campaign. This is true democracy...not the large donations from millionaires, corporations, oil companies which the McCain/Palin raised which was limited due to their taking of public financing through the government program. President-elect Obama was elected by the people and for the people...not by the lobbyists and big business. The Republicans don't like being beaten by the American people. President-elect Obama was elected by the people.

Bonnette: I suppose you've never heard of George Soros,Move on. Arrgh, labor unions, etc. Domocrats, including Obama, raised more money from these huge donors than did Republicans and by a large margin. Now they are demanding he provide the things they paid for and do it quickly. Only a fool would believe that his campaign was funded by the electorate. bestCandidate: As the old saying goes "No one ever lost an election by underestimating the intelligence of the electorate". For examples of this just stay tuned to this board.

setrock, I don't even know WHERE to start with you! First of all, the Keating 5 was John McCain, and FOUR democrats! And John Mc Cain was NEVER found guilty of anything. Enjoy the next 4 years, idiot. Have fun waiting on your 40 acres and mule!

setrock, does that name refer to the contents of you head? The "birth certificate thing" is the honoring and following of the Constitution. Have you ever heard of it? It's that "flawed" document written by men with "blind spots", which just happens to define our country and form of government. Oh, that's right; you don't care about following rules, or ethics, or transparency; those are outdated and archaic ideas. Unless you are already a welfare queen, you will regret your support of Jimmy Carter 2.0. You are probably too young to remember the gas lines and "stagflation". You will soon get your taste of it, and then some. Then you will wish you had your backside back. BTW, try TWO years. That is all he will get before the people wake up and put a muzzle on him with a new conservative revolution in Congress.

I don't know a lot about what the McCain-Feingold act says, but I'm not sure that repealing the law is the right answer, as that suggests that there should be no regulation of campaign finance law, which is ludicrous. More likely, the act should be revisited and modified, with the ultimate goal of transparency, a minimized opportunity for corruption, equal opportunity for whatever party manages to get into the mix, and [possibly] an absolute limit on how much a candidate may spend on their campaign. Regarding the idea the Obama bought the presidency, I agree. That is basically what he did. However, no evidence has been found yet that he did so illegally, so no fault can be thrown his way for that. It was a classic "take what the defense gives you" approach. Assuming that people named Mickey Mouse were not financing his campaign (the verdict is not in on that yet), hats off to Obama for demonstrating a superior capacity for mobilizing the people behind his campaign such that he could simply bury John McCain in a mountain of cash. Now that the chips are down, expect some serious infighting amongst the Republicans. We saw the same thing happen with the Democrats when they were in this position not very long ago. This is part of the redefinition process that the Republican party needs to go through before it can return to prominence.

To bonneteblj 11/13 1007AM Only 23% of Obama's funds came from small donors. The rest came from special interest groups. And some of it come from very questionable sources including illegal foreign sources. Now he owes those special interest groups, including unions, illegal alien groups and others 100s of millions of dollars worth of payback favors. So the "little' people who contributed their meager dollars will be getting screwed along with the rest of us when Obama starts handing out his payback favors to the big donors. And he will hand them out like candy because it is the special interest groups who bought the whitehouse for him, not the "little" people. And it will be the special interest groups who will try to buy him the whitehouse again in 2012. He will, of course, throw just enough bones to the "little" people to keep them duped and thinking he is helping them achieve something. And they stupidly will thank him for his "kindness".
