McMANUS: Obama's coming abortion collision

Over half of the Catholics voted for Obama even knowing that Obama supports partial birth abortion, undoubtedly one of the most cruel methods of destroying the life of a baby; voted not once but three times against a bill that would have protected the life of a baby that had survived an abortion. Apparently, there are "Cafeteria Catholics" who decide what they want to pick and choose regarding the Catholic doctrine - and the horror of aborting the lives of innocent babies is not one of them. I wonder what excuse these destroyers of innocent lives will use when the time comes to meet their Maker? Saying "I didn't know," isn't one of them.

The U.S. Supreme Court is going to be our only hope in preserving at least some of the gains made on the pro-life side in preventing abortions and preserving unborn lives if FOCA is put forward by Congress and the Obama administration. FOCA is Roe v. Wade on steroids. I think the pro-abortion illuminati have reached too far this time. I pray so, anyway.

This evangelical has decided in advance to never support Obama, or vote for him for any position, based solely on his absence from the scene against abortion. The Roman Catholic church must begin a movement of mass excommunication for those Catholics who do not support the Church's position of total opposition of abortion. This goes to the very root of the belief of a Christian.

The Declaration of Independence clearly states the beliefs of the founding fathers with the words “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” If everyone who sat on the Supreme Court or in Congress, the White House, and elected state government positions believed that those words in their hearts then abortion would not be allowed except as it was necessary to preserve the life of the mother. Now as then, the forces of evil and tyranny work against the right to life.

You might call yourself "Catholic", you might even be described as a "Cafeteria Catholic", but if you support abortion, the correct name for you is heretic. ... that's just a definition, not a passing of judgement, as I can't know your conscience. But it remains: if you are a baptized Catholic who supports abortion, you are a heretic (in need of grace and some serious searching of soul). All of you true Catholics out there - don't be deceived by the attempts of others to define for us the precepts of our faith. And don't ever acquiesce to being lumped in with those who are not Catholic, but merely call themselves that.

I have commented on this FOCA before. It is to broad and to overwhelming. If, Abortion is all this is about. Abortion is here to stay. Approve or disapprove. I have always thought it (abortion) was a poor decision by the Supreme Court. Yet, it was made. Can Roe v Wade be overturned? Maybe, A true moment Maybe.
