Obama needs to have his eyes opened about a lot of things. I know the liberal illuminati have made him out to be the hero not only of America but of the world. But it is inevitable that Obama will have his enemies. Maybe this is one of them.
This is simply Russian diplomatic recon move finding out how Obama will react. From the feedback, they will determine their strategies with regard to further primacy in Europe and Central Asia and how to build influence in Cuba and South America to keep us distracted. After the meeting of Obama with the Polish President, I think the Russians will view our policy as: prepare a generic legal tautology, speak well, norm the issue (Bolton U.N. terminology) and gracefully appease i.e. "principled diplomacy". It's like voting PRESENT on a yes or no issues (which is what he is doing at the economic conference by sending Albright). Definitely a discernible trend here.
The Soviets haven't changed. They are a proud, intelligent people who are deeply frustrated by their second-class status on the world stage. Many there would welcome the return of the glory days regardless of the atrocities. Their tactics remain the same: accuse others of what they themselves are guilty and present their belligerence as simply a defense against Western encroachment. Has any of their leaders, even Nobel prize winner Gorbachev, once apologized for the possibly 100 million men, women and children murdered in one way or another in the worker's paradise? Will Putin meet his match in Obama? Putin will take Obama's pretty words, wrap them around Obama's neck, and Obama will thank him for it.
The Russians still want world domination, they are showing that, as far as they are concerned the fall of communism was a setback, not a defeat.
