Is it a "witch hunt" to report 600 illegal immigrants to ICE?
Is it wrong for a person to worry about his job being taken by an illegal immigrant?
I am married to an immigrant from China. I BELIEVE in immigration! But I don't believe we should ignore the law, or encourage others to.
I "love" it when leftists and certain -- definitely not all -- black and Hispanic activists offer free advice to Americans respectful of the law and the meaning of fair play and justice.
That "advice" usually involves accepting that illegal aliens had better be given not only the same rights and privileges of legal migrants and natural and naturalized American citizens, but special rights and privileges as well.
America's real xenophobes are comprised of the growing body of black and latino racists and terrorists who have organized to bully weak-minded politicians and corporation officers via powerful open and underground militant political action groups. These revolutionary groups are intent on nothing less than the destruction of the fabric of American society.
Illegal immigration is not a "sleeper" issue to 70% of the American public, it is front and center, and they want it stopped.
The flood of ILLEGAL ALIENS across the border continues day and night in massive numbers.

"The Republican Party is at a crossroads. Either it cuts out the red-meat xenophobia and gets on the right side of the immigration issue, or it stands in danger of being relegated to 'minority status' (a fairly ironic term, all things considered) for the foreseeable future,""
Now THAT'S funny, considering that the Republicans supported the immigration reform policies and proposals of President Bush (as did the democrats, though they are loathed to admit this), including amnesty. It was the American People themselves who, through a telephone, e-mail, and letter campaign, rejected these reforms and amnesty proposals. I guess, in order to be progressive, Obama will have to reject the will of the very people who elected him in order to institute those immigration "reforms."
USCIS is a self-funding agency, i.e. almost the entire budget is funded through the fees the government charges on immigration forms. If Obama can find the political will to push immigration reform, it will create in excess of 100,000 jobs in the government and private sector, probably in a 50/50 split. And the taxpayer won't pay a penny toward the new government sector jobs.
