Here is the deal: buying the MacBook vs. a PC is akin to the recent election. Apple computers represent the liberal "elitists" of the nation: they are slick and get a lot of press, but cost a lot for what you get and are pretty darned snobby and condescending, despite the image they WANT to portray. PC's with Windows represent the bulk of traditional Americans: its the standard, it has its bugs, gets slammed by the media and press, but it gets the job done if you don't screw around with it too much. And finally, your third party folks are much like PC's with some flavor of Linux: experimental to some degree, with a lot of freedom from the other "big two", but you have to put in a LOT of effort to really get the best out of it...but it gets better and better all the time, just not quick enough...anyway, I'm sure I'll catch a lot of flak for this one...have fun!
