I think the judge also ruled that we have to give them back all their personal possesions taken at the time of capture, including their dynamite.
Whoever wrote the article, don't you think you shoulda let us know where they were being released to. Is it the US, like the 7 chinese muslims that the judge ordered released to the US because China would not take them. Pretty important part of the story is missing.
You can bet they were released into the united states. About 2/3 of the detainees are releasable but no country will take them and the U.N refuses to allow the administration to deport them to any country where they might face harsh treatment. Algeria falls into that category. So the civilian court which has no business interfering has just let them loose in the U.S and if BHO follows through with his ignorant promise to close Guantanamo Bay these 5 will be joined by about 500 others....elections have consequences.
The comments here are sickening. You people are un-American fascists. The government must prove it's case and present evidence of criminal activity. They have not done so. Why are you not outraged? They had 6 years to present evidence and give these people a trial and in the end they have nothing. I know you will say they are terrorist, by which you mean that they don't follow you religion and have brown skin. How do you know that they are terrorist, seriously do you just take the governments word for it? Regular Americans are next for this treatment by our government if the precedent of indefinite detention with out trial or charges or evidence, or "secret evidence" is allowed to be set.
It's about time that the courts did their job.
