SOWELL: The right to win

The left wing activist don't way democracy or rights for everyone, instead they want special rights for themselves and no rights for us. They want to be the nobels in a neo-feudal society with us as the serfs.

Having had my McCain yard sign removed by an irate neighbor, I hate to think what would have happened if Obama had lost. Leftists in my experience are not very interested in free speech for all.

Remember when your team lost at dodge ball, or hide and seek and you were told to accept it as a "good sport"? No one side was all good and the other was "bad". Then along came warm, fuzzy psychology. No one's feeling were ever supposed to be hurt. No one was supposed to get better marks. Every one was "equal" whether that made sense or not. Everything that felt good was right. This is the ultimate communism and we got suckered into it in the 60's and 70's. Those very spoiled children are our leaders now. Maybe that's why Obama thinks all he has to do is show up and all the world's problems will be solved.

Thank you, Mr. Sowell for an interesting article. It cuts both ways. What should religious believers of conservative persuasion do when the country votes left of center? Extremists speak of battling the Great Satan of Liberalism with an aggressive resistance to the impending Obama agenda, as though America was going down the tubes. They seem blind to how the November election actually demonstrates the virility of American democracy. No matter what their political persuasion, citizens who practice religious principles will set a good example by continuing to pray for our nation, our president, and all our elected officials, no matter the result of the elections. Practicing good morals will do more to set America on the right track than resentful, belligerent overreaction.

Great article! This hits at the heart of many issues facing us today. Perhaps we all feel as if we are too important. My favorite thing to tell my toddlers is to get over themselves. I wish adults would learn the same lesson.
