I don't remember Richardson being a Obama rival? As a matter of fact I think the phrase "An act of betrayal" would be more appropriate from the Clinton perspective. Additionally, our relationship with Russia has nothing to do with their trade or commerce, our oil comes from the Middle East, Mexico, Canada and Venezuela. The issue with Russia is national security, energy intimidation in Europe, Russia's new strategic partnership with Venezuela and the U.S. lack of energy independence. Once again Lanny's analysis is patronizing and tries to norm out the real issues in pursuit of consensus. His logic clashes, just like Clinton and Richardson will when they come together.

I don't think UN Ambassador is a cabinet level post, let alone a cabinet position. As always, Davis is still applying the whitewash for Hillary.

I suppose we should defer to you, Lanny, since you are much more familiar with specifics than us. However, I often find that the people outside Washington have a better grip on reality than those in Washington. I am on the outside, and I really can't remember two people with less talent than Richardson and Clinton. Sarah Palin may appear to have less talent (no display of depth on the issues) but thats the best I can come up with at this time.
