Chambliss is a morally bankrupt tool. People probably won't remember but back in 2002 when running against Max Cleland a genuine war hero who lost both legs and an arm in Vietnam, Chambliss ran a TV ad that put pics of Bin Laden and Hussein and link Cleland to them. Here's what John McCain had to say about that back then: McCAIN: I’d never seen anything like that ad. Putting pictures of Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden next to the picture of a man who left three limbs on the battlefield — it’s worse than disgraceful. It’s reprehensible. Saxby Chambliss is a great example of why the Republicans are losing and losing more supporters. To see the ad go here: http://thinkprogress.org/2008/11/12/mccain-chambliss/

"Saxby Chambliss is a great example of why the Republicans are losing and losing more supporters." That's funny, according to this article Chambliss is AHEAD in the polls. It's the Democrat who's LOSING support. It's the Democrat who was over 110,000 behind in the election. It's the Democrat who's going to lose the runoff election. Nice try at spinning this as a democrat win, though.

I wasn't spinning this as a Democrat win, far from it. I was just trying to point out how out of step with the rest of the nation some Republicans are. Chambliss fits this to a tee. Face facts, McSame carried Georgia by 5%, if Chambliss wins by 100,000, that would be half the margin of McSame. Like I said earlier, this guy is a throwback to a less enlightened time, he's a relic of a Red Neck who hides behind a bible in one hand and smears and lies in the other. Those "Old Boys" days are finally fading.

Question of the day

White House officials and Senate Democrats met in private three times last week to craft health care legislation. Do you think these discussions should be more public?
