The Europeans simply want to be able to tap U.S. tax dollars for not meeting global cap and trade requirements (even though they haven't). They could care less about India or China because they know they will not comply. Global Warming or Climate Change or whatever they call it is a disaster insurance tax scam and they want part of it. More an more scientific (not consensus) evidence is coming out from the shouted down dissenters, that climate change is not caused by anthropogenic carbon production and the politicians are afraid that global swarm will realize this before the tax infrastructure is in place for global governance. “For the first time, humanity is instituting a genuine instrument of global governance, one that should find a place within the World Environmental Organisation which France and the European Union would like to see established. “ – Jacques Chirac, The Hague, November 20th, 2000. They will also realize they have been duped by their government which is becoming a trend these days. What is dangerous about this mess is that we may be in a global cooling cycle while making plans for global warming and not developing carbon sources of energy that are available. How many people globally will starve or freeze to death because of consensus science and political power brokering?

"some European officials are preparing to be disappointed on climate change. " ??? It's not like europe is that much better!!! Anyway, people can prepare to be disappointed if they want to but I don't see it happening. I still genuinely believe in obama's promises (www.spinwhip.com/obama captures my mood quite well :-) and I trust that he will deliver.. he's failure to do so will just be too much to bare in the opposite scenario!

The europeans have a track record over the years of coming up with weird social and political ideas. The Chicken Little syndrome over global warming is popular there, but in someone else's back yard. This year I have snow on the ground before I could finish raking up the leaves in my back yard. For me global warming is wishful thinking, I just bought an oversized snow blower to replace my old, light weigh one.

Global warming is bogus, the oil shortage is bogus, European concern is bogus. For that matter "AP" is bogus. For Americans, the solution is simple, we must act in our own interests. Drill here, Drill Now, Double the number of nuclear plants by 2020, Use cleaner coal technology.

Hooey. When are our government leaders going to lead and not act as sheep in this global buffoonery gone mad? Regardless of whom the media has elected as our next President, our laws are thankfully still that, and we need to act as the sovereign republic our great fathers founded. Period. Amen.

"Global warming is bogus." Who are you and what rock have you been hiding under? I think often times people play up the issues and that makes everybody suspicious. But there is no question it's an issue. The liberal illuminati have made us think that Obama is going to be the hero on all these fronts but that is impossible. I think he will do alot but on these issues we are going to have to be patient and give him time to get all we want and all he has said done.

Maybe Europe should petition to be one of the receipients of BO Global Poverty Act. They would probably get/steal more money then trying to shut down our industries through Gore's Global Warming fraud.

Road Warrior: Because Al Gore says so does not trump REAL SCIENCE, and REAL FACTS. Earths temperature is tied to the SOLAR cycle and always has been. There is absolutely no valid correlation to the carbon cycle or mankind's activity. The earth's temperature has been cooling since a known and predicted solar maximum in 2000. It will continue to cool for an estimated 15-20 years, and then slowly start to warm again in a pattern that has been going on since pre-history. PS: I have a degree in Meteorology...do you? I am one of many experts that has been crying foul since day one of this hoax only to be shoved aside by a bunch of politicians in a money and power grab of epic proportions. Don't believe this? Notice Al Gore and Company refuse to debate anyone on this issue - that is because every time Global Warming has been honestly debated - it has LOST.

To smrs: Amen to your comments. We're so smart we don't even need God to control things anymore!

If they get their way they won't like the result, with the worlds economy in massive trouble shutting down large segments of the US economy will drive the entire world into a depression. The Europeans who worship the false God of Global Warming should take that into account.

I don't know why so many people around the world are eagerly waiting for Obama and the liberal illuminati to make good on these promises. They're setting themselves up for disappointment.
