The last paragraph of the article explains best why their will be a rout of U.S. Government debt, " Any money that the world lends to American to finance more consumption will never be repaid" We have short respite period. If we cannot fix our economic problems, a bigger crisis looms.

The dollar is going to go up and down just like our just like the stock market. Why are we making a big deal about this? The illuminati want us to think that Obama has something to do with this but we just need to wait out the roller coaster and let things level out. Then i will have this conversation.

Does this surprise anyone? Ultimately the strength of a nations currency depends on the strength, in crisis, of a nations political system. There is none in the world stronger than the US -- particularly since the Euro strength is diluted by umpteen political systems.

money talks. bulls*** walks. despite all the trash talk by tinpot dictators like putin and domestic critics like krugman, when push comes to shove investors flock to strength and stability. the anti-america crowd can blather on all they like, but they're facing a fierce headwind called "reality".
