BLUMENTHAL/KO: Presidential Rx for health

The article is a mish-mash of distortions and lies. For example, "Forty-six million Americans lack health insurance ..." is an outright lie, because that 46 million includes millions of (1) illegal immigrants, and (2) people who can afford health insurance but choose to spend their money on something they feel more important. There are also millions to lazy to work. Why should the taxpayer give them unlimited health care? They there are millions because of their own lack of initiative, failed to prepare themselves for life by acquiring some marketable skills. Give them unlimited health care? Not with my money, thank you.

National health care is a nightmare of historic proportions regardless of how its done. Dust off your Nixon cost control cards out, buy really comfortable shoes and portable seats for waiting in line and expect to die untreated - especially if you're elderly. It is simply defying gravity. The crash will be horrendous. Obama is politically smart but this would potentially be the biggest mistake any politician has ever made in history. Then again, there is Obama's cap-and-trade horror that may get peoples minds off the health care nightmare looming.
