The Democrats saw Bush's plan as an opportunity. Why else would Reid say McCain come back and the McCain go away. He had an epiphany. In cases like this, the pendulum swings from no regulation to overregulation and Bush was handing them to entire package, oversight, regulation and taxes without any conflict of interest. If it hadn't been for 95 Democrats who they won't talk about and those 12 Republicans Barney Frank talks about French would be the international language of politics. If Obama wins, it may be yet. And by the way, thank you Nancy, your blame speech saved the day.

And politicians think the only way to get more money is to look at the taxpayer. Not one penny more, if their is one penny of waste ,fraud, or abuse left in our government. This ACORN is only the tip of the iceberg of corruption. Disgusting

ACORN should be wiped from this Country. It is a Liberal Leftist Org, who hides behind Reform ideals, when it is really hoping for the downfall of America. It is disgraceful Barack Obama was part of this Org and now he denies that he worked for them. Obama I suppose we should also believe that you and Bill Ayers were passing acquantances. LIES_LIES & MORE LIES MR OBAMA

The picture along side the article shows "Sandra Hines who said she lost her home after 40 years". Wow. Most long-term loans are for 30 years. After 40 years she still had not paid for her home. And I am supposed to feel what for her? But I digress. The ACORN tactics applied against banks simply reflect what Obama recently said to his supporters regarding non-supporters. "Argue" and "get in thier face" were phrases he used. Intimidation appears to be part of what Obama is all about from his ACORN training days right up to now. And if arguing and getting in someone's face does not work, what is next? Violence against his opponents?

This commentary is based on a lie. The essential premise--that the bill included money for ACORN--is false. This is not a matter of opinion; think what you want of ACORN, though 'think' is perhaps more than this column and comments deserves, but if you stand by this, Charen, you're even more of a lying sack o' sh1t than you were yesterday. Awaiting a retraction. ice
