The intolerance and lock-step bias of college educators has been demonstrated over and over from the 60's onward. It should come as no suprise that these so called academics would pillory the person they think may knock the Messiah off his pedestal. Some of these comments are worthy of cold war commentary from hard line Stalinists whose failed ideology forced them to say things so obviously contrary to reason. The frightening thing is that there isn't more moral outrage about them, as the American people are becoming more and more indoctrinated by the media.

The social intellect always promotes its superiority over reality. They build a Simulacrum around the effectiveness of logic, a false sense of security. For eight years of Clinton we viewed this hyperreality, complacent to reality, the bombing of the WTC, the Khobar Towers, the Embassies and the USS Cole bombings. Then reality kicked in on September 11th. The status quo, 'don't bother them and they won't bother us' shattered their Simulacrum. Now, the social intellect is once again rebuilding their Simulacrum, but this time on intolerance to moral principles and divining social relativism (human social evolution superiority). As I recall, George Orwell and Aldous Huxley did some work in that area, but it is traditional and therefore not up to todays intellectual standards. Palin is like a gun to the liberals, she scares the hell out of them. She is not a feminist and she knows hows to deal with men on their turf. They cannot control her, her values don't fit their Bob Marley status quo, and she is one of those earn this realists. To the social intellect - Don't worry, be happy, everything will be alright, you will always have Bill Clinton.

Soxconn, you are ALWAYS spot-on! Never more so than here! You should have your own column in this paper. Keep up the good work!

What a sad commentary on academia as well as the MSM for publishing such trashy drivel. soxconn has put it very well. I wish there were more middle Americans that would wake up and realize that this is what you will get with the Obama crowd.

Mr.Mattera seems to have missed the point. It is immaterial whether the acedemics and liberals are biased and unfair to Governor Palin. The issue is whether she is up to the job of President of our great nation. We have now seen her form. In spite of having several weeks of intense coaching by her Republican minders she has exposed herself in a rather soft interview as vacuous and inarticulate. Might I remind the patronizing Mr. Mattera that the country is full of intelligent and articulate people who are women, conservatives, and Christians. In fact, many of them are in acedemia. The problem isn't that Palin is a Christian or conservative. The problem is that she isn't up to the job. We have had an insight into the (almost) unvarnished product, and while I am sure that she will be better prepped with stock answers tonight, who wants to have a glove-puppet or parrot a heartbeat from (a geriatric) Presidency in these dangerous times?

Pete: If what you say is true, that Mrs. Palin is not "up to the job," then what makes the community organizer up to the job? He has done nothing of note: he voted "present" most of the time; he associates with racists, crooks and terrorists; he can't even complete a sentence without a teleprompter; he has made no bones of the fact that he will tax and spend us to oblivion; and he is one of the architects of the current fiscal crisis (Money from Freddie, anyone?). Sarah Palin has executive experience, which is considered much more valuable than legislative experience in the EXECUTIVE branch of government. The key tonight will be her superior character and candor. If she focuses on those things, and hammers the points I have made concerning Obama home, you will see those poll numbers (even the lying CNN numbers) swiftly change.

MG what is your take on college diversity? Is it a bastian of liberalism or do they have the diversity of thought they expouse? By the way I thought your comments below were hysterical. I don't agree w/ you very often, but they did bring a smile to my face. I'm still in the tank for Soxcon though. Petemurray I think you missed some of the point in the artical. Liberal professors never give pause. Their articles would be called racist or worse if written in the same matter by a conservative about Obama/Biden. We Con's see this prism everytime we see another story by another Lib professor. It also appears you have not given the same scrutiny to Obama/Biden that you demand from Palin. Biden has said some really bone head things lately...his foreign diplomacy has been on the wrong side more often the naught(against missles in Europe, wrong on Nicaragua, wrong on first Gulf War, maybe wrong on Bosnia) You cannot really say Obama has been vetted by the press when most people don't question his friends, business associations et al...but swoon at his speeches.

Gov. Palin is pro-choice. Doubt me? Do you really think she would disagree with anything on this page? http://hubpages.com/hub/For-Women-Only----A-Pictorial-Journey-About-Choice

Their wisdom is like a latrine; it’s depths unfathomable. Their words aromatic as a sheep pasture. Their knowledge freely overflowing as a toilet. Surely their advice will guide us to cesspools of glory. These are the darlings of Obama. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools.
