Sarah Palin has about as much Foreign policy experience as Obama? And HE wants to be PRESIDENT?? So, why would ANYBODY want to be concerned with HER experience when she is number 2 on the ticket. Also, EXECUTIVE experience is worth so much MORE, as the PRESIDENT makes no decisions without the advisors who are the EXPERTS in those areas. No Presidents are experts in EVERY area. But most like McCain with foreign policy, lifetime senate/military experience, Palin with Executive experience ONLY Obama has no EXPERIENCE of any kind. ONLY WORDS???

Sorry, Mccain is arrogant and paternalistic to Sarah, and Palin is dumb....like Bush but worse. The majority of newscasters shake their heads or roll their eyes. She is infamous and the butt of jokes for a number of Dems amd Repubs alike for a reason. The excuses for her are becoming silly and transparent. With the fact that she is pro-life and he is clinging to it, it would be a tragedy in US history if she had to take over as president. The Times is conservative, like Murdock's papers and, I am sure, most of you on here are as well...but really, but who does McCain think he is fooling? only those who want him for all the wrong reasons. McCain was a failure in battle in Vietnam (he was 4th from the bottom of his class at the academy) and Sarah went to multiple colleges before she could get a jounalism degree.I am sure tomorrow night we will see those exclaiming that she won regardless of what she does or does not say.

It's called, we don't want her to get "the everyone always cheers for the underdog sympathy vote". They could also be setting it up for Hillary in case Joe doesn't do well. We've been at this long enough. We know where the candidates stand. It's a matter of Palin standing up to Biden and whether the audience accepts her values or the social intellect.

Soxconn it's not about Paln standng up, it's about her answering questions. I know that you know that Sarah knows very little about the magnitute of the questions she'll be expected to answer tonight. She'd be a fine PTA member, but she is being manipulated to an astounding degree by the GOP ultra right. It's shamefull she is being put through this ringer but it tells us all we need to know about McCain's decision making abilities. Frightening.

Listen to you arrogant socialists: "It's shameful she's being put through this ringer..." "...at least he could put a noun and a verb together..." Mrs. Palin is not being manipulated by the right; she is on the right (and in the right). Obama can't put two words together without a teleprompter: "Uh...Ahh...Um..." How intellegent he sounds; how presidential. If Mrs. Palin simply shows America the plain-spoken, straightforward person she is, the Gaffer will be trashed in this debate. It's quite amusing, but also disconcerting, to hear the press and libs talk about her inexperience, when it surpasses that of their presidential candidate. I don't think that is lost on most Americans.

grandpa mcsame has war experience it was in 20th century but it isn't useful in economy and middle class. Miss lipstick has experience in hunting but it isn't useful in foreign policy .. war is not like hunting it is very expend and dangerous thing.. Obama will bring a good judgment, character and wisdom in the tough time.. we don't need experience we need action and the person who will understand how the people are suffering first.. Obama/biden - Mcsame/lipstic = 10 obama/biden + Mcsame/lipstick = 10 Obama/biden = 10 Mcsame/liptick = 0 These are prediction for the next 4 years outcome..

To my knowledge, S. Palin is eminently qualified in military affairs in contrast to Mr. Biden, who apparently dodged the draft by attaining a 4F classification when the time required it. He claimed, and probably still does though the press doesn't care about it since he's a patriotic democrat, to have hey fever; ha, ha. That's one step short of absonding to Canada. Yes, as one of most that responded to the draft and served, I resent that Mr. Biden did not, along with scores of others now serving America proudly as "elected" public officials. As Commander of Alaska's military might Governor Palin is far closer to knowing what military is all about than where the aged, experienced and gaffe prone Honorable Senator Biden has ever been, although he falsely claimed to have been shot at in Irag. I look forward to Governor Palin showing us tonight that America still has people like her that are ready to enter the dispicable, crud of the corruption laden, lethargic, me-first world of Washington politics, putting herself out there to be skewered unjustly and mocked by a press corps that prefers to ignor truth, righteousness, honor, and other virtues Americans are capable of for sleasyness, distortion and outright lies, anything to make one look unworthy when set along side a democrat. Even the moderator is in place to facilitate this theater for our entertainment.

Our country really needs Sarah's expertise and strength in developing our Energy Independence. Alaska has much more experience with big oil development, the difficulties, the corruption so much money brings, than the lower 48 states do. Alaska has a regulatory board for its oil and gas resources. They regulate when the oil companies drill, where they drill, and the relationships of government to the oil companies. Sarah Palin successfully took on corruption between Republican officials and big oil when she was appointed to this board by the then Governor of Alaska. It was her outstanding performance on this board that, in part, convinced citizens of Alaska that she was ready to be Governor of their state. Our country now needs this strength and expertise as we face the challenge of solving our energy crisis. As for dumb, Sarah's own sister said she "always had her nose in a book" when she was growing up. No way a dumb person is always reading as a kid. No, the dumb ones are always watching TV--along with many middle type intellects. Sarah talks very interestingly about Abraham Lincoln's cabinet. She's a highly intelligent, capable woman, with solid anti-corruption credits and political success. As Governor of Alaska, she actually PASSED a tax on big oil revenues, and gave a $1200 rebate to Alaskans! Democrats, wake up! What's not to like??

Notice that PBS's Gwen Ifill, the PBS journalist -- will be moderator in the VP debate this evening. Ifill is currently writing and selling a book to be released in January, the day the next president is inaugurated. Called: "The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama" During the time when the McCain and Obama campaigns were negotiating the venue and rules for the presidential debates - no one bothered to asked what Gwen Ifill was doing on the side. Should someone have warned/informed the McCain camp? Not so according military strategists and chess players. 6th century BC — Sun Tzu on the ‘Art of War’ Chapter 1 8. All warfare is based on deception.

pysgone: The manner in which the McCain/Palin side is responding thus far indicates that with regard to the battlefield of propagana/information/misinformation, they are not willing to engage, but apparently prepared to withstand the slings and arrows; afterall, isn't that the way of the Republican Party itself? Like the entire Bush presidenccy, just day after day not respond in kind to the gross even grotesque and unfounded accusations made against nearly everything and anything the administration has attempted - Victory in Irag (dictator now dead), the infamous Valery Plain Jane affair (not a black operative yet treated as though she was at the time when she wasn't) surge, Bush moved to open Alaska for Oil at the outset of taking office (shot down), and so much more! Constant pounding makes believers out of many Americans even though facts that prove the falseness are before our eyes. But, taking the "cool" and easy way is that which is "awesome", "absolutely" yeah, in today's America. You get it "guys"? Just ponder those now so popular and overused words you get to know somthing about who we are; "awesome."

[McCain talking to Palin before the debate] McCain: Sarah, no pressure but you've kind of screwed things up lately with your interviews. You have to do good tonight. Palin: John, I understand healthcare, reform thereof and including job creation, economy, but also Freddie and then also Fannie. McCain: Really? ...What? That really doesn't make any sense. Palin: Further, and because of the issues, Putin rearing his ugly head. Earmarks are bad. Bridges bad. McCain: [pacing] Okay, okay - what to do, what to do. Ok - I got it. Do you have any good one-liners? They'll be sound bites, and then everyone will forget everything else you've said. Palin: Yep. What do lipstick and hockey have in common? Neither one of them like Barack Obama (laughs). McCain: Ohhhkay. How about something else? Palin: You know what they asked me ... Are you ready to lead? You know what I said? "Ready? Not only am I ready, I'm also yellowy, orangey and greeny." (laughs). McCain: That's really awkward. Did you just make that up? Palin: No, don't be silly. Everything I say now, I've been told to say. Green Healthcare! McCain: Ok, just try to talk as little as possible. Don't make me regret picking you more than I already do. Palin: I will make your proud Your Honor. McCain: What? I'm not a judge. I am a senator. What are you talking about? stay calm, stay calm...

DTFrankel writes: [.. it doesn't apply in this case ..] Let me put in sports terms. A halfback with the ball runs down the field, pretends he's going to go left but actually runs to the right -- while the opposing tacklers tumble and fall to the left. Sun Tzu calls that, a "fake" (aka deception - Napoleon called it "camouflage") No so whining Republicans, they run onto the field, try to stop the game (or postpone) and cry "foul!" "not fair!" "BS!" The VP Debate isn't going to change anyone's mind, I say we just boycott it. It's only for media consumption. Media is stacking the deck against moderates/conservatives as usual, this is just another chance for them to stifle anti-socialism opinion and push the leftist agenda. Don't give it to them. They're already breaking out the bogus polls and pushing them hard, in hopes of impacting any teetering voters. It all just boils down to: A vote for Democrats these days is a vote for the death of America. Any vote for a lying, terror-supporting, big government, racist, gasbag like Obama is just crazy.
