Why is anyone surprised by this? Everyone knows that the left is practicing brain-washing now. They have been trying to do it on the University level for years, but kids that age are a bit too savvy to take it seriously. But Elementary School kids, now there is some fertile crowd for INDOCTRINATION, baby!

What do you mean the E-mail does not urge teachers to rally student support for O'Bama? There would be no point in sending it unless this was its purpose. Like so much else coming from the teacher's union, this is just designed to cause confusion and anger in the classroom. Our schools have become sink holes into which public monies are poured without improving the students' abilities to compete in the global market.

Obama groomed by the far left will further impose his liberal thinking upon America through further entitlements. His ideolgy is in the Colleges and the reason Obama embraces this forum. If you want entitlements this is your man. If you believe freedom comes through negoitation with those who do not value their life or your own then this is the man for you. Obama is naive, incompetent embracing Europe ideology with the help of a teleprompter and pre-canned speeches. More entitlements, more government. more voters who receive the entitlements perpetuates larger government. Eliminate those perks...the byproduct will be a smaller more effective government.Begin in Washington eliminating all Federal / State pensions funded by the tax payer. Good luck..follow the money...follow the entitlement mentality...follow the voter..no brainer. There lies the problem...there lies Obama

This is why my wife and I sacrificed to send our children to a private Christian school. As a result, they have each grown to be moral, independent, thinking adults. Although it was a big sacrifice, we decided we could do without new automobiles (and other things) while we raised our kids. I encourage all parents to do the same.

Ditto to Maranatha.Shalom. The only time my children have seen the inside of a government school is when they have accompanied me when I voted against any and all funding for them. The only way the US will stop stop lagging behind most other nations is to privatize the entire education system. Let the schools compete, and issue vouchers for the tuition. It will save billions in taxes and union dues. But don't hold your breath.

I don't know about the rest of Virginia, but Fairfax County schools also close the day before and day of federal elections. Just a coincidence, I'm sure. Not giving teachers' union members the ability to electioneer. That would be wrong.

I hate to inform you all but this is ILLEGLAL. These teachers need all be hauled off to jail and their adminstrators too. CLEARLY ILLEGAL. This is why public schools should be defunded. - Teacher 35 years

This is an absolute disgrace. It will be investigated and found to be inappropriate AFTER the election is over. Teachers unions are feeling the heat for their abject failures and are striving to have a friendly administration elected which can help them perpetuate their failure.

If churches cannot talk politics from the pulpit, then teachers cannot endorse a candidate from the classroom. This is very wrong and needs to be stopped. The Obama camp is running a dirty, cheating campaign and if he gets elected, I will be at his door demanding answers.

Education at every level is promoting liberal thinking - having returned to college after many years, I saw it first hand. This is despicable. I hope it is actionable, and the penalty is severe. It is teachers job to teach children how to think, not brainwash them. If I had kids in public school, I would yank them out so fast their heads would spin. Parents, we need to protect our children from this Socialist ideology and the Far Left Machine that is bringing this country down.

Another testament to our teachers. If you read what the words say you don't know what it means? You have to know the "intent" of the writer? No wonder our kids can't read or write, neither can some teachers. Send this person to remedial writing class. It is perfectly clear what the intent of the e-mail is, liberals always go after "the children" since they are uneducated and inexperienced to make judgments for themselves. Decades ago Liberals declared that they can not win the battle of ideas with adults and decided to concentrate on the children. I think the teachers who take part in this should wear BROWN, shirts at least. Fire the wrong doers! And look how they are trying to squirm out of it, great role models for the students. Disgusting! The only politics in school should be in Civics class. And then it should teach about our system of government and the Constitution and Bill of Rights. It is obvious though that it would be like teaching a foreign language for most of the teachers. Disgusting!

What do these teachers think we are blind and stupid? They got caught playing partisan politics. It is reprehensible. They should be fired.
