Wow, you think the Democraps are the the "party of pander" now, wait until they go after that all important ex-con vote. What will the Democraps offer in return for that vote, one free robbery or rape?

Gosh, more votes for the Democrats. Who'd a thunk it. Just wait until ACORN has Charles Manson listed on their voter registration papers. I understand dead felons like Jeffrey Dahmer are eligible too.

To say that the restoration of voting rights to convicted felons is politically motivated does disservice to the will of the legislature where a procedure was established to restore such rights. No one can assume that a person who has served his time in prison will vote for the party of the Governor. The restoration is not made at the whim of the Governor. He does not pick and choose among those applicants for restoration of voting rights to see who will vote for his party and award them with the right, and then reject those applicants who will vote for the opposition party. There is no reliable way one can say how anyone will vote on any particular issue. The restoration of the right to vote is more a matter of grace than of party loyalty.

Like all Democratic Socialists trying to hijack all future American elections, Kaine and Obama want felons, non-US citizens, dead people and duplicate voters to be counted in every national election.

Democrats have stolen votes and committed election fraud for years. The media just doesn't report it. Can anybody say ACORN? If we had a truly honest vote, Democrats would never win another election. They're way out of touch with average Americans who DON'T WANT SOCIALISM IN THIS COUNTRY. No more Hitlers, Stalins, Castros, Maos, Guevaras, ever. New Democrat (socialist) slogan: 100 Years of Failure Means Nothing!

Never call them the Democratic party, besides the name there is nothing democratic about them. They vote fraudlently every election, they try and register fake voters, and then when they are caught they depend on the MSM to accuse their opponents of stealing the election.

Hey, what's the big deal. Everyone knows the three-legged stool of the progressives: Commies, Criminals and Creeps.

I support Governor Kaine’s decision to restore the vote to felons. Every citizen should have a say in the running of this government. It’s unlikely their number will have any effect on the outcome of the election, but their opinions should count.

Ohio lets voter fraud run rampant with the Obama campaign bussing in people who dont even live there. Virginia makes sure all the felons get voting rights -whatever it takes to shove Obama into the oval office. We have never seen a candidate with such crooked, racist, criminal and terrorist associates in our history and you folks just open the door to him. The DNC has been hijacked by radicsls who have ruined that party forever. You people deserve what you will get when this Pied Piper takes office !! Obama-Drama times 10.

Excuse me if I'm wrong, but I thought that in a Democracy, it is the right of all citizens to vote. In addition, I thought that it was the role of the prison system to reform convicted felons and return them to society as regular citizens. If these two sentiments are correct, then why shouldn't felons, who have served their jail time and their parole, be allowed to vote for the President? And Republicans, clamoring about election fraud? Really? Yours is the party who is trying to strip the vote from people in Michigan just because they had their home foreclosed. Sounds pretty un-democratic to me.

Re my post at 10:55... Make that the 4 pillars of progressive politics: Commies, Criminals, Creeps and CORPSES!

I hope he is giving them back their Right to Keep and Bear Arms, too! Imagine this: Commit voter fraud, get back your voting rights but no guns?

This what America is turning into.No one should be surprised at anything anymore.Right now we have both mayor presidential candidates affiliated to the" Porky Pig Bail-Out Bill" we can understand Obama's love of pork he is a Liberal Democrat, but McCain?Mccain has really stabbed in the back all those folks who saw him as the guy who could have taken us out of this mess.He should quit and let Palin run the show, she is more sincere than he is. The convicts?,They have to let them vote so that they can have an election ;the decent folks are going to stay home on November 4th.
