Is it a surprise that the Taliban is furious over being struck?
Does anyone think the Taliban would say "thank you"?
I agree websurfer, that's a curious tone to take in a headline about a group of murdering radical Islamic thugs. But it's AP, so you can bet they care very deeply about the Taliban's feelings.
I wish The Washington Times would be a little more selective in their use of AP propaganda.
wvobiwan:
You agreed with websurfer and I agree totally with you..so we are on the same page.I do wish the Pakistanis would go into those areas with a large force and take them all out..Al Queda and Taliban fighters..This would save us the job of sending drones into Pakistan and angering their government..Vote for McCain/Palin.
God Bless America..keep praying for our country..We don't need Barack Hussein Obama in charge of the greatest country in the world..
How does one attempt to "reach" Taliban spokespeople?
Would it be in the phone directory under "terrorists"?
Am I expected to respect the observations of someone that can "reach" Taliban spokespeople?
"Taliban ... either could not be reached, did not return calls or declined to comment on the strike."
Strangely enough some communication lines appear to have been breached or Taliban members are having a hard time answering the phone.
Meanwhile the incessent ringing of cell-phones keeps emanating from the bombed-out rubble ...
Well look out everybody! The Taliban malcontents are furious! They must believe their's is a viable cause - sustain medieval life. Nah, Taliban, the unspoken ultimatum to you, yes you! is conform to the 21st century and live in peace or either fight to you're killed or better yet, kill yourselves. Have fun cutting one anothers' heads off. Oh, meanwhile keep in mind that Associated Press personnel, ie journalists, are not your enemy and fear your wrath.
