Why throw the sink when one can sell it 20 times over along with all the other bargain-basement fixtures? Ever since Bush was inaugurated democrats have been unable to accept him as president. For so many years I have endured unfounded critisims of the President and Vice President. It is as if, if the press says it is so, then it is. Now, when a republican speaks out against a democrat, despite being supported by fact, the fact is totally ignored and the republican is demonized to no end. That is why the respublican party has faded. Now that survival of the country as a world leader is upon us, it is so very important to chose the right leaders. As McCain engages Obama, Obama and fellow democrats, as is McCain too, are now public political targets in that they are only now standing before the country being accused of this or that (having the kitchen sink thrown at him/them). Let's just look seriously at the responses and each of us judge because over the past years republicans have been loathe to respond in kind to assertions by democrats. Now, the election process requires that facts be aired (that includes Ayers) It is now high time that the kitchen sink be directed to where it should go. If somthing is fishy, then see it so; however, if that kitchen sink is Valid, then that should be recognized too. So far, Obama's public character and his background, based on what I have read and heard, cause me to wonder how in our America such a character could even appear to be worthy of the presidency, but you decide for yourself, and that means not following blindly the orders of that great American Howard Dean - decide yourself. To all the Obama staffers, thank you for honoring us with your presence. You would find a more sympathetic audience at the WaPost, however, it's always nice to hear from you; good for a laugh as your propaganda spreads. I wish McCain would show some fire, even his temper would be better than the insipid and bland. All hell should be breaking loose on the democrats, yet he wants to be a gentleman. Why? This should be a lesson for the future--quit putting out these tired old men for our nominees and bring out those with some iron left in their blood! We republicans trotted out a tired Bush #41 who basically phoned in his campaign and allowed Clinton to win and wreck the country, then followed that up with ol' man Dole. The fact that the democrats hate Bush is a revelation that he is doing something right! Now we are running a "maverick" who looks more like the old gray mare. Not that we had a lot of choices, but I believe that Palin in 2012 may be like Reagan in 1980. McCain-- you have nothing now to lose by going on the attack and at a minimum can put some of the democratic BS on the public record. Other than the WaTimes and precious few other sources, the public would otherwise never hear that the democrats did something wrong.

Mr. Pruden, you are so correct. The Associated Press is once again stretching for any little negative nuance they can find no matter how inconsequential. They often omit pertinent details, and rely on excerpts just to amplify their negative slant. The MSM media is bad enough but it is now obvious that the Associated Press is also in the tank for Obama. I urge all readers to check the source of every story and if it is from the Associated Press, just realize there is a very good chance that it is nothing more than “Unpaid Political Advertisement”. They have no integrity and are rapidly losing all credibility.

Regarding the NY Times article citing Palin’s racially-tinged remarks, she did use the word “Chicago” in her speech. You’d have to have been born yesterday not to know that “Chicago” is code to conservatives … it means “Black”. So please wipe the incredulity off of your faces here. Let’s not play games, ok … especially when it comes to blatant racism.

Obama's 13 minute video on the Keating issue is a waste. Senator McCain was completely exonerated of any wrongdoing and was criticized only for his judgment. The GOP ought to do it's own financial meltdown video, utilizing the one on youtube. It is great and all the facts check out. It is an eye opener puts the blame where it really belongs. Lake County Elections Board Director Sally LaSota said more than 12,000 voter registration forms need to be processed from recent days. Porter County has processed at least 3,500 voter applications since the May primary. But it wouldn't be an election in Lake County without fears of election hijinks. LaSota said of the 2,000 new voter applications dropped off Monday by members of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, "about 1,100 are no good." Hundreds of other applications among the 5,000 forms ACORN submitted in Lake County prior to this week contained incomplete information, unreadable handwriting or are otherwise unusable. Some ACORN representatives apparently pulled names and addresses from telephone books and forged their signatures. One of the clues was when "Jimmy John" was listed as an applicant on a form that listed the address of a Crown Point sandwich restaurant named, of course, "Jimmy John's." Another application that was singled out listed the name and address of a Gary man who died Nov. 16. It isn't unheard of for dead people to vote in Lake County, but registering to vote for the first time? Any criticism of Obama is a distraction, a smear, unAmerican, unKenyan, fascist, oppressive, racist. Uhhh ok Monique I'm game...what rights have we lost under Bush/Cheyney? I just watched the speech from Michelle Obama from 4/8/08 saying we had a duty to give some our "pie" to others less fortunate so they can have more....wow and Biden thinks we have a patriotic duty to pay taxes. Socialism failed and if Obama gets in and starts with the same stuff, you won't see a democrat win a mid term for another 12 yrs.
