So the "Millenial Generation" is voting Democrat and always will. Wrong. I voted in my 1st election in 1972 (I voted for Nixon) 90% of people my age were Democrats. That didn't help Democrat candidates over the years , except Clinton. As we get older and hopefully wiser we lose our idealism and become more realistic. Peace love and understanding sounded better in 1972 while smoking a joint and drinking wine. In 2008 with a job, a family and mortgage it just sounds stupid.

the budding "Millenial Generation" - Americans born between 1980 and 2000 - are about to take America's political landscape by storm. ================ Good - we need quick minds, who see globally as well as think globally, who see the value in diverse etnicities, people who don't want the return of segregation in America because they have realised it only harms our ability to make money, improve our lives.

They are not just American, they are in every country. Yes, folks tend to become more conservative as they become older - like you I started out voting for Nixon... but now.. never again a Republican! To much damage has been done to America by Republicans and by their mythology of their own superiority. Reagan secretly selling arms to Iran did it for me. I am not alone in changing from Right to Left.

John McCain WAS a moderate, a reformer, someone to respect before his hug-fest with bush the swiftboater in 2000. Bush and Rove swiftboated McCains military record and adoption of the bangladeshi girl in the ugliest way. He should have become an independent, but no, he has mirrored all of bushs WORST legislation starting with the WAR OF CHOICE, that has cost billions of $ and millions of lives and has ENABLED IRAN who was in check before our wargame. He has mirrored bush on tax breaks for millionaires and deregulation. He proved himself to be a weak cave-in to the bush/rove machine with the nomination of palin, a vapid over ambitious under educated rapture ready woman. (treasonous Alaska Independence Party also...hello!?!?) Even the thinking conservatives CAN SEE WHAT A PATHETIC PANDER PICK THAT WAS. as an independent, I will vote for Obama, even though Ron Paul had the goods.
