Ryan... are you serious?? Jansen more than deserved to be benched. Highway 76 looked like a turn style in preseason. To be fair, Jansen is probably healthier than he was in August. It was a statement, however easy to make, that set the tone for how things are going to go under Zorn, at least on offense. Randle El seems to have gotten himself in gear on punt returns since Zorn spoke about it. The young punter may be wise to heed the same warning. Loyalty to veterans who have a capable backup always seemed stupid to me. Ask coach Del Rio would he like to take back the decision to start Leftwich in that playoff game after Garrard had gotten them there
Was Heyer even drafted? He doesn't seem to have bulked up any since. I might question Jansen's mobility because of the injuries, but the results speak loudly. I am in favour of a rotation and competition. But as it stands opposing teams might deploy a shift like against Barry Bonds.
At least they both have a chance to dance with the star.
