Obama actually looked admiringly at John McCain most of the debate, as if he was looking up to him. Obama seemed as if he recognized John McCain was the better man. He said many times "John is right", just like he did during the first debate. Obama also seemed very young and green, unsure of himself, while McCain seemed very sure, experienced and authoritative, especially on foreign policy. Obama was so careful not to make a gaffe, he seemed downright plodding. His usual flair was gone. I thought McCain stuck it to Obama several times, and each time Obama smiled, as if to say "You got me good on that one, John." McCain clearly won the debate.

McCain was so off the mark. Obama had him rattled by changing the direction and format of the debate in reaction to McCain's lies. Brilliant move, Senator Obama. Very decisive and presidential and in control of the situation. He owned the stage. I like that in a president. John McCain became rattled and then lied again about his "Bomb Iran" gaffe. He told it to a bunch of people and then made Barbara Ann one of his campign songs. He is a dishonorable liar. I had respect for him back in 2000, but not now. His ego is damaged and it shows in his demeanor. This isn't personal, it is about the good of the country. Another 4 years in the republican direction would be disastrous for us.

somebody needs to tell mccain to knock off his dry unfunny jokes. they were so lame. and mccain's attempts at attacks made him look childish and petty. 'I know how to do that I know how to do that'.....HOWWWWWW mccain? would you like to enlighten us as to how?

The comment made by McCain "THAT ONE" was an unscrupulous and demeaning statement that anyone can make let alone a Presidential candidate. It is a statement that certainly defines McCain's character and personality. It was a personal attack upon all of us. It is a sign of an individual who lacks the dignity and poise to be the Commander In Chief of our Country. It has brought us back to the 1960's in Alabama, Mississippi and racial discontent.I am disappointed with Carl Cameron's remarks that this was a memorable moment in the debate. It is one that I like to forget however it will never be forgotten because of the negative impact it infers.

WHO WILL BE SLEEPING IN THE LINCOLN BEDROOM IN AN OBAMA WHITEHOUSE? This is a serious question that has captured my attention. The question is in reaction to what almost everyone sees – a media blatantly refusing to report on legitimate issues and distorting anything or anyone who stands in the way the Obama election efforts. How many reporters are looking for people who can tell Obama’s story? I’m not sure anyone can without damaging Senator Obama. Go ahead liberal retards, vote Obama into the White House. You think things are bad now? I am scared to death to think of Obama in the White House. I would rather have an old, experienced McCain in the White House than to have a "wet behind the ears, still on training wheels" Obama in the White house.

It took just twenty minutes for McCain to show his age. Responding to Obama's line that insurance companies... "They will find a state -- maybe Arizona, maybe another state -- where there are no requirements for you to get cancer screenings:, McGoo, in his turn, replied "I don't believe that -- did we hear the size of the fine?"

Uh, does McCain realize that the world-famous, National Historic Landmark Adler Planetarium is one of the premier museums in Chicago's spectacular Museum Campus? He sounds like he thinks it's for some rinky dink classroom projector or something. If this is the worst example of pork barrel spending he can come up with, he should give up on this line of arguing. God forbid we spend money on science or education.

joe07ri and MG: Stop crying in your soup..."that one" if anything is what Obama folks have been saying all these months..."he's the one"...presumably the one we've all been waiting for. Well now that he's back from his campaigning with the socialist radical who insighted violence in Kenya, we just need to exalt him to his rightful place....

Dear SDindependent: If McCain is off his rocker for substituting "prisoners" for "citizens," then where does that leave Obama who said he visted all 57 states? Maybe he was thinking of his campaign trip to Kenya in support of the radical socialist who was willing to impose islamic law on people who are predominately non-muslim and incite violence if he were to loose (which he did, only to negotiate his way to Prime Minister). Problem is, we are still left with six other states unaccounted for. Hmm, maybe he campaigned for Kim Jung Il and Ahmad-Nejad. That's 53....

To be honest, Obama looked like he was 72 years old. Why does he always look like he's high on pot? His eyelids are always half-closed----that kind of "opium den" look, like he's looking through a fog. I wonder if he ever did stop doing drugs. Seriously. I wonder if the guy is still not hopped up on drugs. Or should I say "down" because he's such a downer. For a guy who is supposed to "talk real good" he never says anything memorable or inspiring. JFK, Truman, FDR, Reagan, Teddy Roosevelt,Lincoln---they all had memorable lines. Nobody can come up with a memorable line from Obama---oh, wait, yes---"That question is above my pay grade." We WILL remember him for that, and all those gaffes.
