Obviously our economy isn't prospering, and its paramount now for the candidates now to fix it. Yet, Palin is one of the biggest pork-barrel spenders, and she accepted funds to create the Bridge-to-nowhere, yet it's not even there. I find it hard to trust a candidacy that exploits the solution to our economic crisis if the economic endeavors Palin's supported here www.dailysource.org/palin suggests otherwise.

Can we please hear a discussion about the economy, not contsant personal attacks on one candidate or the other! "It's about the economy, stupids".

Obama looked GREEN, really really GREEN in the debate. I think, truly, Obama is one of the best B.S. artists I have ever seen. The guy has take it from the community organizer level to the national level in a very short time. In the old days, of the old West, he would have been one of the best Snake Oil Salesmen around. He would have made a fortune selling that tonic that cured Yellow Fever and Baldness, all in one. Slick,Glib, Fancy-Talkin', what a load of Horsesh*t. Amazing.

The debate tonight was the same old sh*t. They both s*cked. Seemed like two little boys throwing snowballs at each other. They acted like little kids who could not even keep to their agreed upon answer time of 2 minutes. To much focus on the other guys closet than specifics on fixing the economy and global issues. I'm starting to think we should write in Romney or Clinton. G*d bless amerika.

I kind of agree with TyinPS, and I never thought I would. We deserve better than these two. I am also thinking I might write in someone, like Romney or Clinton. There, TyinPS, is something we can agree on. I just don't think either candidate is very good at this moment.

Barack Obama has his Bill Ayers connection. Now John McCain may have an Iran-Contra connection. In the 1980s, McCain served on the advisory board to the U.S. chapter of an international group linked to ultra-right-wing death squads in Central America.

If the fate of 10 men who were involved in Iran Contra is in my hands, we're going to the pub, and the beer is on me. If the fate of even one of the Weathermen had been in my hands, I need be the only member of the firing squad, and will need only one bullet. You only wish McCain had the problems with past associations that Obama has. Grab your ankles.

"McCain Pledges Homeowner Help"-yeah right! Mr. Deregulation is going to help out the little guy. McCain choked in this debate; Obama actually worked to answer the questions in detail-McCain just strayed from topic to repeated topic. He was rude and dismissive to Obama. Dave

McCain brought up Fannie/Freddie Mae when his campaign mgr.'s lobbying firm was still receiving $15K per month LAST month. Has he no shame? Get rid of lobbyists? A lie. Suspend his campaign to "fix" the crisis? A lie. He tried to forward the bail-out with NO oversight whatsoever. Now he's going to buy up all America's bad mortgages? Does he really think those listening to him are that stupid? And, are they?

JimFlaherty is right on the money. Read below. I would add that we're conditioned to the image rather than the record. This is our downfall. Neither guy is perfect, but the lesser of two evils is what we have to discern and we have to look at their records and vote accordingly. Besides which one of you would want to be president? I wouldn't want to wish it on my worst enemy. You either have to be part megalomaniac or truly a servant. O is megalo, McCain is maybe servant but not megalo.

What's interesting is that with 20 plus more years in Washington than Obama, McCain has less mess-ups than Obama's few years as a senator. That should speak volumes to people, but mostly they just buy the crap from the networks.

Well, that should please all of y'all fiscal conservative republicans! LOL Give it up. McCain is dead weight.

Yes that was a shock to hear McCain's $300 million proposal ~ this is a comment to which a can of worms is attached, for sure. But if you are on the side that has given any credit to the bale-out, then to help the home owner with refinancing is STRAIGHT TALK to what the next step IS going to be, on either side. He is going against his party on this so momentarily I am giving him the benefit of the doubt--because the bleeding DOES need to be stopped from that massive amount of forclosures ~ THEN he needs to get busy cutting other unneccessary spending.
