Bush was within his rights to fire US Attys and Palin is was within her rights to fire her Police Chief. The Legislative Branch needs to keep out of Executive's business.

MG: I can empathize with you. I felt the same way, if not worse during the Clinton fiasco, I should say mal, no! misadministration. Yes. I got it right.

Jim Flaherty: Uninformed, repeats BS talking points of O'Reilly, Hannity & Palin. Doesn't understand that the GOP tried to implicate Obama in Rezko trial, but there was nothing there (but the GOP still raises it - and it will not work); ignores the fact that notwithstanding that Ayers was misquoted in 2001 (see Wikipedia) - and that Ayers is a much-respected, tenured University professor doing good works in Chicago; believes GOP lies about Acorn which works with the poor and helps the poor register to vote; does not see that the GOP is setting up ACORN to disenfranchise poor voters who would vote for Obama. It is lucky that JimFlaherty gets to vote only once (I hope!)

This is a Time Waster. Palin is a Governor, an executive. She's got the ability to govern. That means some unpopular, tough decisions. Facing incompetent civil servants, corruption, waste, etc., means making some enemies. So what?! Let the debris peddlers waste their time. Palin is the energizer of the Republican Party. Palin rocks! Keep firing away, Sarah!

Dobie's Girl: Obama, the leader of the lemmings Obama is one clever fellow, he is. Using a small part of his vast campaign war chest to pay skilled pajama-clad, stay-at-home Internet posters. They don’t even need to inflate their tires to save on petroleum and on carbon emissions. Not that the poster’s comments ever pass the smell test. All this may work to influence Americans' opinions for an election, but this will not make Obama a statesman. He calls the lemmings of America to follow him over a cliff, but he cannot lead men. His radiance will numb the minds of the young and unwise, but not so the mature who can see where eloquence and charm substitute for substance and integrity. "Obama" is still an "empty suit". Devoid of principle, morality, or honesty, he represents a plan, still not fully disclosed, that would guarantee that all of us, the American taxpayers, would lose. He would bring change; a “fundamental” change, that will re-make America into something you would never recognize as the America where you were born and where you grew up.

Never in US history have the Americans ever had an array of differences in ideology between the two parties, the Democrats and the Republicans. The main dividing wall has not yet been revealed, but as the election nears, one thing becomes clear: should Americans choose the promise of bread (the promise of a prosperous economy) or faith in the word of God? A very popular scripture in the book of Matthew comes to mind: But he answered and said, it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4). The Christians in America are suffering like any other American, and the temptation is very great for them to elect the candidate who promises almost everything under the sun. Affordable health care, no income taxes, affordable education, and many more. We have heard all these promises before. If you are a Christian, your wisdom will tell you that that there has to be a string attached to these promises. Barach Obama, the Democrat candidate for President promises all these. What are the strings attached? First, almost certainly, he will appoint judges to the Supreme Court who are in favor of abortion and same-sex marriage. Secondly, because he wants to meet with terrorists without pre-condition, he will compromise with Arab nations that Christian missionaries will be forbidden to preach the Gospel to their countries, while he allows the Arab religion preached in the United States, in exchange for a halt to terrorism. The Christians are in trouble.

Seeking to pre-empt a potentially damaging report from the Alaska State Legislature, the McCain campaign released its own report late Thursday concluding Republican vice-presidential candidate Alaska Sarah Palin did not abuse her authority when she fired her state's top police officer. -------------------------- Did Clifford Irving write the report for them?

The Christians are in trouble. -------------------- Yah, they shouldn't have secretly sold arms to Iran, given Bio/Chem warfare materiel to Saddam, given counter-insurgency training to Bin Laden.

The investigation was nothing but a political hatchet job. Today it seems that America is like a ship sailing in very rough seas. The ocean that she is sailing is full of people, Americans, ready to make a difference and put their shoulders to the problems facing America. However, as we all know, oceans are full of sharks and this ocean is so infested with sharks that it is named the Media Ocean. Consider: The Good Ship America, The Media Ocean and The Obama Iceberg at: http://zachjonesishome.wordpress.com/2008/10/10/the-good-ship-america-the-media-ocean-and-the-obama-iceberg/

MG: Obama has no new ideas; only a rehashed socialist utopia that has been tried and proven disastrous time and time again. Do I have much faith in McCain: NO. But I do have faith that he will do less damage than the Communist Organizer. I am not one given to conspiracy theories, but given all the players, and the timing, it would not surprise me to learn that this economic meltdown was planned several years ago. Many sinster names come up when looking into this whole mess; Craig, Ayers, Frank, Shumer, etc. When taken in conjunction with ACORNs systematic efforts to subvert the free election process, I begin to wonder. I'll say it again: I will not be voting for McCain; I will be voting for Palin.

And here's another offer of bread to the masses: Nancy Pelosi is proposing another stimulus package after the election. Read this as: if you vote for the Democrats, they will give you more bread.
