Much of the social turmoil in our country over the last 45 years has been due to the increasingly frequent intrusion of judges into moral issues such as homosexual rights, capital punishment, prayer in schools, and abortion over which they have neither the qualifications nor the moral authority to definitively settle. As a nation, we've replaced the clergy with judges to provide guidance on moral issues, and bought into the concept that the law and morality are divisible. As a result, we have grown in our country a judgeocracy --- a judicial tyranny, unaccountable to the people, running roughshod over the elected representatives of the people, over established customs, over the values of the community, disrespecting established laws, imposing their own arbitrary agendas on the basis that the Constitution is a living document and that case law from other nations invalidates our own nation's laws. Judges should not be appointed for life, but should have fixed terms, say 10 years at the most. Moreover, Congress and the President must reclaim from the Supreme Court the until now unchallenged belief that the Court alone is allowed to interpret the Constitution. Our government is based on checks and balances, and, at present, the Supreme Court has no effective check on its authority. Without a balance on its role, the Supreme Court will continue to abuse its power as all people will inevitably when given absolute power.
What kind of damage to national security and the government do you think could be possible if an illegal immigrant were able to pass himself off as a citizen and become the President of the United States?
