Considering the horrible news this week on other fronts, this is a ray of sunshine. Congrats to the citizens of Connecticut. It is good to see equality for all is taking root. As a California resident, and non-gay, it is good to see that two people can love each other, commit themselves in the eyes of the law and through whatever spiritual (if any) outlet they endorse. It has not hurt us as heterosexuals as some feared and no conservative churches are required to marry them. I have attended a few of these ceremonies and it was wonderful to see their happiness, but on the flip side, they will also see the ugliness of divorce. Get ready to as some bible thumper fire and brimstone bigots, claiming you are an abom'nation (Thanks Jimmy Swaggert)just like eating shellfish or a woman wearing slacks or because you may not believe, like them, in the divinity of the Golden Walnut. Hopefully, someday the federal government will stop their discrimination and denial of rights and do the same so that insurance, death benefits etc will be automatic.

You are gay. Why not admit it?

okie

Does this rule mean we all have to move beyond missionary style? I always thought staying there was constitutional but now I do not know what to think.

Not gay but respectful that gays, women, blacks and others are entitled to the same rights as us white men. It is good to see the wisdom of the Connecticut court system in elimating one more discrimination. Most people I know that react your way have issues with their own sexuality and things like this bring it home from the corner of their minds where they have hidden it. I have fortunately been married to a wonderful woman for 32 years and glad that gradually gays are getting that right now in the eyes of the law along with benefits. I live in an area that many gays live openly and I know many fine gay couples. Just because I support the rights and freedoms of all does not define me as gay, and if that's what it would be called then I would be proud to have that tag.

Hey (TyinPS) why is it that only approx. 1% is gay? These people are not normal. There's something wrong with them.By saying this it's not meant in a demeaning way. They are what they are and I personally don't care what reason they are the way they are. Let them live the way they want, but don't push their abnormal life style on the rest of the country.Hopefully here in Cal.the people will rectify this with Proposition 8.

I am curious but how do two gays have bilogical children of their own? God did have a plan that marriage was between a man and a woman. The root cause of many of the social problems we face today begin with the family structure. The goal of the liberal culture is to destroy any resemblance of a family structure consisting of a man and a woman. Values being destroyed by the liberal media / Hollywood crud where sex, violence, drugs, vulgarity, degrading of woman are portrayed on the screen as forms of entertainment. How many TV shows show marriage between a man and a woman? How many TV shows / movies portray the good side of America?

I've never heard a pro-gay marriage advocate answer this question: If we allow marriage between two men or two women, why not allow polygamous or incestuous marriages? Don't try to use the "fetal deformity" argument to argue against incestuous relationships. A pre-born child has no rights and can be killed througout all nine months of pregnancy, so certainly that same child has no right against being harmed before birth.
