DUIN: Christians persecuted in India

Julia comes in with a substantive, gutsy article here. Clearly political tiptoeing is in order to allow this "African style" genocide to continue. Anyone from the '60's who were enamored with Hinduism should be appalled by the ruthless and demonic actions of these mobs. It's clear India has no aspirations toward democracy when it brutalizes it's citizens for making a personal choice to believe differently than the status quo. Reminds me of another intolerant religion..Islam that vindictively tries to cleanse society of Christianity. This will only increase as the West takes the backseat economically and it's weak leaders pander to these fascist states. Yes fascist...Germany did the same thing under Hitler to the Jews. The mob looks for a scapegoat for it's troubles and ineptitude and somehow manages to focus on the very ones who are trying to better the society. How come history has to seemingly repeat itself? Man's sin...plain and simple.

Julia is absolutel right. The saddest thing about all this is that india is experiencing a resurgence in it's economic stature due to foreign investments and technology investments as well as educational perks being given by countries like the US. There are 3/5ths of the American population that claim Christianity, 1% of which actively participate in evangelism. More than enough to influence this country politically and elect officials who will not look the other way at these attrocities. But if we can call ourselves Christians and vote for a president like Obama who is pro abortion, then what can be said about our true obedience to God? God does not compromise on his statutes. True fear and respect for God would not compromise nor allow these attrocities, nor would we allow the election of this man to the White House.

According to the BBC, there were clashes between the tribals and the christians. The tribals are the original natives , who are now competing for resources with the Christians who were lower caste HINDUS from neighboring states( read migrants)who were converted to christianity .
