Wow what a heart rending story, it nearly brought tears to my eyes knowing what this poor girl has been through.

Well-written, insightful and thought-provoking. It also has a happy ending, but should be a lesson for all of us.

This is why all immigration needs to be controlled. Walking across the borders is not an acceptable immigration pathway. This person did not walk across the border but the life lived was independent on that fact.

You're right, it's awful to live in fear. Unfortunately as a law abiding American Citizen married to a LEGAL immigrant we now live in fear. We fear the illegal alien criminals and their slave masters in our government whjo serve Mexican Drug lords on their knees. We fear the Betrayal of the US "Supreme" Court that seems to think it's okay for illegal aliens to steal our ID's and ruin our lives. We fear that illegal alien drug dealers will break into our homes to take our children as with the help of the Jorge Boosh and Obama groups expand US government backed crimes like Child Kidnapping, rape and ransom. I fear paying high taxes and crushing medical bills while illegal aliens steal free medical care and demand to take it from me and my family. I fear most of all being a second class citizen in my own country.

A happy ending for you Bisi and your sickening story of BS would be if you were in prison like you'd be in your own country. But hey just tell a lie and steal. There is no rule of law in America. Just steal and lie and then claim how abused you were when you get caught. All you need is a big enough lie and excuse right. No matter illegal aliens are dealing drugs raping and kiling Americans. It's okay like Obama and McCain say; they are God's children. We poor fools are only American Citizens and in America today it means nothing to follow the law or be an American. At least that's what you and the government here say.

It seems to me that this article is not praising illegal immigration but the contrary, and the newspaper wouldn't be publishing it otherwise. The message seems to be directed at people who allow their visas to expire needlessly. By the way, this happens to Americans abroad too. Unfortunately, Criminals who enter our borders illegally with evil intent will not be deterred by this. And they are the ones we should be most concerned with.
