Defense spending has been growing so rapidly that auditors can no longer keep track. ----------------- You can't have war-profiteers if you have auditors! There was reason Bush didn't resurrect the Truman Commission!

Why this came out of control? ..... who is auditing the auditors?

fauxpas

There isn't enough outrage to go around for this scam. I guess the administration led by Dick/George couldn't see this coming. Looking back from this date makes this wastefulness even more outrageous. Why aren't these "trillions" showing up in the economy? Excuse me, did I just say trillions? When I buy something several people or companies on down the line profit, & so on & on. If we spent trillions why doesn't it boost our economy? Because we never really had it to begin with. Like the housing bubble, the money was virtual & now we face virtual reality (w/ interest). When Bush said safety at any cost, he knew not of what he spoke, as usual. The dynamic duos' only gifts were turning on the fear/terror switch & diminishing the constitution to a mere rough draft. Oh, they were also pretty good at the rendition/disguising the torture thing. The small government salespitch lasted about as long as a mushroom cloud in the desert wind. Relatively speaking, borrowing a few trillion to fix our own nation seems like a bargain. Nation building starts at home. The neo-cons will now fillibuster to hold up the stimulus package like reseeding a lawn or handing out condoms is a bigger more diabolical scheme than this whole in the desert they've helped dig wholeheartedly for two full presidential terms. They have no shame. Do they realize that without them we'd be stuck in that terrible world that Clinton left us. You can site all the wrong you want about him but we were prosperous, greeted as friends & rolling along very robustly. You can't even say they contributed, that would mean they added something. Adding debt doesn't make sense, adding up lost lives doesn't either. We need at least four vigorous years of prosperity to see daylight. That starts only once stimulus begins & the engine is fired up & running. In other words, Barack in 2012, all partisanship aside.
