SO WHAT!!!! When Howard Dean (D-VT) was running for President who do you think paid for his campaign appearances? Vermont taxpaayers! And what about the Vt. State Trooper that traveled with him? Vermont taxpayers again. AP never investigated that dirt bag. AP is full of it and is in the closet with Obama. What a bunch of loosers!! George Morton Sheldon, Vt.

Noted that previous poster pulled the ole "well look at what so and so did" as to not address the issue.. must be great to have a sliding moral code only based on what someone else has done... that one getting kind of getting worn out.. but Palin is not wearing well.. seems she is best employed as hot air balloon refueling station. Yep folks, let's hear it for what someone else has done. AKA well my guy is bad, but OK as someone else worse. Cute logic..if you are Gobbels

Palin has cheated on her taxes. IRS does not allow 'per diems' to be deducted when you stay at home. IRS does not allow deductions for spouses or children to accompany you on business trips unless they are bona fide employees that perform business duties on the trip. Plain is a tax cheat that will have to resign in disgrace just like VP Spiro Agnew did for his tax evasion. Fortunately, in Palin's case, we know about her illegal activities before the election!

Man, what WAS McCain thinking by "choosing" this loaded-with-drama-looser before having a clue about all her corrupt behavior??? she is such a liability and will cost him the election. What a shallow hypocrite Sarah Palin is. He should have been the maverick and followed HIS heart, not steve schmit and karl rove.

So much for "country first." Palin first is more like it. Maverick, my foot. All the readers of this paper seem to think McCain/Palin stand on higher ground than Obama where morality and honesty are concerned. All this proves is that one should vote for the best mind and proposals. Obama hands down.

I agree with theonedyg. "Country First" , my a#$. Its not that I think Obama is the cure all, however McCain seems kind of erratic and has been known for a hot temper and Palin, she is just plain ridiculous.

It seems that the mainstream media, is out there to investigate anything regarding Obama's opponents. If it's not Sarah Palin, it's Joe the Plumber. All the while, they seem to be masking anything about Obama's dealings with Rezko and Ayers. This isn't acting as the watchdog of the first amendment, it is acting as the guard dog of Barack Obama. Seems like if you oppose Obama you better get ready for an army of lawyers to tear apart your life, personal or public and then the mainstream media to put you on public trial. As Tony Blankley implied, something similar to this happened in 1933.

The media needs to get a grip. Sarah volunteered that information up front when she became in the "VP" spotlight. It was less expensive for her to have the state pay for her children to be transported than it would be to maintain and operate a private jet as the former governor did. What it cost for the year, as alleged by the meaningless media, is less then what it would cost to fuel a jet for one cross country flight. It appears that the media is running out of things to write about. What ever happened to the days when the media reported "Real News" and current events! Today it is not news unless they are personally attacking someone for there own political agenda! How’s this for a headline! “America looses first amendment rights due to the Fairness Doctrine”. Keep it up, because what you are supporting is where it will lead you. Then you will all be unemployed…… maybe not a bad idea after all!

Let's get a few things straight. First, when Fox news actually reports a story they investigate, they provide links to the documents to backup their story. The AP- All hearsay with nothing to back it up. Why not provide the source of the story so people can decide for themselves? Second, assuming the story is one-hundred percent factually accurate, and coming from the AP it's most likely not, she needs to account for some of the expenditures and explain them. The citizen of Alaska must have considered the fact that as a mother, Ms. Palin was sure to bring her children with her to various functions where appropriate, and as of today, it's up to the citizens of Alaska to determine this. As a previous post pointed out, Ms. Palin immediately released her tax records for review by the public and the media. It took Mr. Obama and Mr. Biden a bit more time to cajole them to do the same. The Left is quick to point out the minor mistakes of others, but perpetually cover-up, with the complicity from the media, the egregious violations of public trust that sing to the tune of tens of millions of dollars and criminal actions to boot. Let's talk about how Joe Biden never responded to CNNs request for a list of earmarks from each Senator last year, and how he just recently released his earmark list for 2008. Or shall I point out the Biden family's relationship with hedge funds and lobbyists? Do those qualify to mention? He was more than eight years old, and they are his son and brother. Hmmm... If it comes down to fiscal responsibility, I'll take Palin's 20K of somewhat questionable expenses that are not even clear violations over Biden's $342 million dollars worth of earmarks and his $13 million dollar bridge to a resort town in Delaware any day. Oh, and I won't mention the $119 and $97 million dollars in earmarks both Senators Biden and Obama respectively have already set aside for 2008. So why does the Left choose to ignore such fiscal irresponsibility, hypocrisy and elitism? Maybe it's not about the economy, stupid; its about the socialism. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0809/23/acd.01.html http://www.cagw.org/site/DocServer/Senate_-_alpha.pdf?docID=3023

Well, coming from a State where corruption is a way of life (Hi Senator Stevens!), I'm not surprised that Governor Palin allowed this to happen. What a disappointment.

What the heck is wrong with you people defending Palin? This is reprehensible. My employer WILL not pay for me, as a mother, to take my children with me on business trips so why the h--- should taxpayers pay for fertil Palin and her brood? UNACCEPTABLE. And please don't start talking about earmarks and pork barrel spending without looking at Princess Palin's record. Give me a break - is anything this woman does okay with you brainwashed/braindead people out there?

George Morton brings up something that happened years ago (Howard Dean) to excuse Palin's unethical behavior - what??? He must've had inside info or maybe he read his exclusive info in the PAPER? Also, George Moron can't spell.

If Obama had 5 kids and expected the tax payers to pay for the kids' trips, there would be a LOT of outrage!

Palin is the McSame as as most of the extreme right wing of the Republican party, what's wrong for YOU is OK for me because "I" am a good person, while "you" are a traitor. This is why a large number of moderate Republicans (based on polls) have decided to vote Obama. Colin Powell is a great example of this. READ what he said about Palin, READ what other LONG TIME REPUBLICANS say about Palin. She is utterly incompetent to be a Vice President let alone the President should MCCain's health take a turn.

So the Obama girls fly free to Hawaii, right? And stay at the Honllulu Hilton. And it all gets charged back to Illinois? I bet we'd hear about it from the fiscal conservatives here.
