My partner and I of 37 years (we are female) have raised 8 children and have 17 grandchildren. None are gay or lesbian. We have never pushed our "so called lifesytle" upon them. We live our lives in dignity as do most gay and lesbian ppl. As with all ppl there are those who are radical (yes, even heterosexuals) but I would not want my child or grandchild to be taught in grades lower than 6th grade that which is of a sexual nature. I want equal rights under the law and want my brothers and sisters who wish it to have that right. We have been accustomed to discrimination in the workplace, the funeral home, hospitals, families, and the alter. We do not want to have predjudice sanctioned by law any longer. If I pay my taxes just like any other American and send my children and grandchildren off to war like everyone else, why should I now have the same rights under the constitution? My children and those grandchildren over 18, some who are now attorney's will now be fighting the good fight along with us. This fight may not end at this election because what's right is right and as Dr. MLK Jr. once said..."the arc of the moral universe in long....but in bends thoward justice". Peace.
